🎃 Pumpkin Collages, Chalk Art and Musical Moments ✨

Our Discovery Den children enjoyed a lovely day filled with creativity, imaginative play and lots of hands-on learning 💚

The children got creative with a pumpkin collage activity, carefully using glue and coloured squares to make their own unique pumpkin pictures. There was lots of concentration as they explored colours and developed their fine motor skills 🎃🧡

Outside, chalk was a big hit, with the children making marks and drawings on the floor and even drawing around their own hands to explore different shapes and sizes 🖍️✋

The home corner inspired lots of imaginative play, with the children using pumpkins, plates, cups and utensils to prepare and serve pretend meals to one another 🍽️🥣 Aurora also enjoyed caring for her baby and reading a story to her, showing lots of kindness and nurturing through her play 👶📚

Music brought everyone together too, with the children taking turns on the drums, experimenting with sounds and listening carefully to one another 🥁🎶

Construction play continued with stacking blocks and exploring the car ramp, watching trains travel down and working out how things moved 🧱🚂

🌈 Play-Doh, Chalk Creations and Sensory Fun ✨

Our Peek-a-Boo babies enjoyed a lovely day filled with sensory exploration, creativity and kind little moments 💚

The children had lots of fun exploring Play-Doh with different utensils, squeezing, pressing and moving it in different ways while developing their fine and gross motor skills 🤲✨

We also enjoyed some wonderfully messy chalk play, using the floor as a huge canvas for mark making and creating lots of colourful patterns together 🖍️🌈

There were some lovely moments throughout the day of the babies sharing toys, playing alongside one another and showing kindness to their friends 💕😊

River and Ayla especially enjoyed the sensory bottles, shaking them, listening to the different sounds and watching the materials move around inside 👀🎶

🌺 Poppy Pictures, Halloween Ideas and Den Building ✨

Our Adventure Cove children enjoyed a relaxed afterschool session filled with creativity, imagination and child-led play 💚

The children got creative with their drawings, making poppy pictures as well as designing their own Halloween costumes and sharing their spooky ideas on paper 🌺🎃🖍️

There was also lots of teamwork as the children built their own dens, deciding how they wanted them to look and working together to create cosy little spaces 🏕️✨

Lego was another favourite, giving everyone the chance to build, design and bring their own ideas to life while developing concentration and problem-solving skills 🧱😊

🎃 Pumpkin Creations, Autumn Art and Outdoor Adventures 🍂✨

Our Discovery Den children enjoyed a lovely day filled with sensory exploration, imaginative play and autumn creativity 💚

The tuff tray was a big hit, with the children creating pretend pumpkin pies and even using pieces of pumpkin to make their own pumpkin juice. There was lots of squeezing, mixing and careful hand-eye coordination as they explored the different textures 🎃🥧

Outside, the children enjoyed autumn painting, digging in the soil and creating their own ideas through play. Some built houses, explored the mud area and used tools such as spades and rakes, while others got extra creative with paint and turned themselves into pretend pirates 🎨🏴‍☠️🌿

There were also some lovely calmer moments with books and plenty of problem-solving indoors, including connecting magnetic trains, building Play-Doh houses and cooking imaginative meals in the home corner 🚂🏠🍳

🌺 Poppy Painting, Sensory Play and Little Imaginations ✨

Our Peek-a-Boo babies enjoyed a lovely day filled with sensory exploration, creativity and imaginative play 💚

The children explored lots of their favourite sensory resources, including the sequin boards, sensory bottles and jigsaws, taking time to investigate the different textures, colours and movements 🧩✨

There were also some lovely calm moments with books, while Nala, Ayla and Myles enjoyed caring for the toy babies, showing lots of nurturing and imaginative play 📚👶

The babies also got creative with a poppy-inspired painting activity, using potatoes as their brushes to make their own colourful marks 🌺🎨

Imagination really came to life when Nala and Myles turned a box into a boat, singing along to Row, Row, Row Your Boat as they played together 🚤🎶

Our Adventure Cove children enjoyed a lovely afterschool session with some seasonal creativity and relaxed free play 💚

The children had great fun carving the pumpkins, helping to scoop them out, explore the textures and watch their spooky creations come to life 🎃👻

There was also plenty of time for free play, giving everyone the chance to choose their own activities, follow their interests and enjoy spending time with friends after a busy school day 😊

❤️ Poppy Art, Big Builds and Imaginative Adventures 🌿✨

Our Discovery Den children enjoyed a wonderfully busy day filled with creativity, construction, imaginative play and thoughtful learning 💚

The children took part in a lovely Remembrance Day activity, painting their hands red to create poppies and colouring their own pictures for a local display. It gave us a gentle opportunity to talk about remembering and honouring those who have served and sacrificed ❤️🌺

Construction and small-world play were especially popular, with robot houses, buses, train stations, monster trucks and bug homes all being created from blocks, tyres, crates, bark and stones. There was lots of problem-solving, teamwork and imagination as the children brought their ideas to life 🧱🚍🚂

The children also enjoyed musical exploration, wizard and witch role play, sensory Play-Doh creations and plenty of dinosaur adventures. Some weighed dinosaurs on the scales, others cared for them, made them beds or even brushed their teeth 🦖🎃🪄

Outside, there were lovely moments of balancing, mud kitchen play and nature exploration, with the children showing care for bugs and using magnifying glasses to look closely at the world around them 🐞🔍🌿

🚜 Farmyard Fun, Sharing and Sensory Play ✨

Our Peek-a-Boo babies enjoyed a lovely day filled with sensory exploration, turn-taking and lots of little discoveries 💚

The children spent time sharing the shakers, taking turns and listening carefully to the different sounds each one made. It was a lovely way to encourage listening skills, patience and early social development 🎶😊

The farm-themed tuff tray was a big hit, filled with pasta, farm animals and dry Weetabix. The babies explored in their own way by grabbing, feeling, smelling and tasting the different textures, with River and Jaxon especially enjoying getting stuck in 🚜🐄🌾

There were also some calm story moments with Room on the Broom and Life is a Rainbow, giving everyone time to sit together and enjoy the pictures and sounds of the stories 📚🌈

Imagination came into play too as a cardboard box became a rollercoaster, with lots of sliding backwards and forwards and plenty of “wheee!” moments 🎢😄

The colourful balls and sensory slabs gave the babies even more opportunities to investigate, explore and discover in their own individual ways 🔴🟡🔵

A wonderful day full of curiosity, sharing and learning through play 🌿✨
