🎉 Exciting News for Denbighshire Families! 🎉

Thanks to additional funding from the Welsh Government, funded childcare is being expanded across Denbighshire.

This means that from September 2026, all children aged 2–3 years living in Denbighshire will be eligible for 12.5 hours of funded childcare.

🗓️ Applications will open on 29 June 2026 and close on 7 August 2026.

Firstly, We want to say a huge - THANK YOU✨ To all of our families for attending this morning & showing your support, the turn out was amazing & honestly, it was lovely to see our garden so full & have the opportunity to chat & catch up with you all🥰

Secondly, Thank You to Lauren from ‘Denbighshire Flying Start’ & Hannah from ‘Denbighshire Early Education’ for attending. After all your hard-work & support this term it was lovely that we got to share this celebration with you both❤️ & For also taking the time to chat to our families who attended too🥰

And of course not forgetting the stars of the show - The Children. As a team we are so proud of each & everyone of you❤️ It truly has been a privilege to watch you all learn, play & grow into the amazing individuals you are today🥰

We truly hope that everyone attended this morning enjoyed it as much as we did…..The weather ☀️, The Photographs for you to take home & treasure🥹, The dancing, The artwork on display, The opportunity to discuss your child’s development, The chance to interact with other families & the team, The chance to celebrate all of your amazing children🥹🥰❤️ - All the hardwork & preparation really paid off ❤️

We look forward to spending the last few weeks playing, learning, enjoying the summer sun & making as many memories as possible before the next part of their journey🥹❤️

Firstly, We invite you to join us in saying a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Darren. Who is celebrating his birthday with us here today in the sunshine 🥳 ☀️ We hope you enjoy a day filled with endless choruses of ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’ & Lots of fun in the sun ☀️❤️

Secondly, We invite you to join us in saying a huge CONGRATULATIONS to .. Poppy🥳 Who has achieved her “First Class Honours in my Childhood & Youth Studies & Psychology Degree” after a long time and a lot of hard-work & dedication❤️ As a team we are so proud of her - This is not only a great achievement academically but also personally for Poppy. You deserve all of the recognition for your hard work🥰🥳🥹❤️

Over the last couple of days our love for both “The Gruffalo” & “The Room On The Broom” ✨ Has spilled out into our Outdoor Kitchen❤️

Both of these stories have inspired the children to cook up some tasty, gruffalo inspired treats such as “gruffalo soup” & “Gruffalo crumble” 😋🥰 While others chose to make some magical potions just like the witch 🧙❤️

It was wonderful to witness the children’s imagination come to life. Communicating ideas, processing trial & error, developing their fine motor & gross motor skills and letting their curiosity & creativity come to life 🥰✨

The list of learning opportunities here is endless & so was the fun ❤️

In our opinion, Story-Time is one of the best times of the day✨ Wether that be indoors, outdoors, a big or small book, puppets or none. We love them all🥰

So when discussing some of our favourites and engaging in a conversation about ‘Authors’ and what an ‘Author’ actually is - it didn’t take long to realise that a big section of our favourites all had one thing in common .. Julia Donaldson❤️

Following this we used the iPad to research Julia Donaldson. We wanted to see what other books she had wrote that we hadn’t read 🥰 to our surprise - she had a website of her own! & that’s all we needed.

Before long we were reading facts (did you know Julia Donaldson has over 200 hundreds books?🥰🙈) , We were looking at new books, books we’ve read & even found links to songs! Our preschoolers love the Gruffalo song with makaton signs 🥰 We’re most definitely going to keep using this website to support the children’s interest in Julia Donaldson & Keep learning new songs 🥰

“Oh help, oh no! It’s a Gruffalo!” ❤️ - Simple but effective 🥰

Open invitation to re-tell one of our favourite stories.

Using puppets, props and mark making the children dived into the world of “The Gruffalo” focusing on their favourite parts of the story, sequencing, recreating and even some letter formation ❤️

Working in childcare means, no two days are the same & that you need to be fully prepared to jump into action no matter the request😂🙈Some days that’s den building, other days it’s a karaoke session…

Today however, The request made was quite simply what you see.
Water, a bucket and straight over their heads 🤣
Whatever makes them happy, right?🤣

Disclaimer - all children fully consented & were extremely happy to feel the cool water hitting their heads 😂
