A lovely way to spend a Monday morning 🫶🏼 At “The Cob” 🍃 A lovely ‘Nature Reserve’ right here in our local community 🥰

Our Holiday Club got stuck into building dens of all shapes & sizes. Using resources we brought along with us & natural materials we collected in the space we chose 💚 It really was brilliant to witness their imagination & creativity come to life 🥰 & the added bonus of some risky play to encourage the children to safely challenge themselves ✨

We love having such a beautiful, natural space right on our door step. We really appreciate the hard work put into creating these safe spaces in these environments and it was brilliant to bump into some of the amazing team dedicated to improving this space in the community. They were thrilled to know how this space was being used!💚

We can’t wait to see further developments here .. But, for now. We’re more than happy to keep visiting and enjoying the space as it is, because we had huge amounts of fun here again today💚

Did anyone else visit the ‘Denbighshire Play Day’ event today?🩵

Our Holiday Club had an absolute blast this afternoon. Getting stuck into making bird feeders, making music, exploring in the circus skills, washing the vehicles, playing on the park equipment & The overall favourite activity .. FOAM PARTY🤣🥰🩵 .. There seemed to be an endless amount of activities to choose from. The excitement & happiness radiating from the children was brilliant🥹🥰

Thank You’ To everyone who had a part in putting on the event & interacted with us at the event today. The children loved being involved & We were made to feel so welcome by everyone we came across 🩵

How lucky we are to have all of this available in our local community 🫶🏼

Another day, Another little adventure out into our local community 🫶🏼 The beauty of having all of these places right on our door step is that we can make last minute decisions & plans based on the children, their interests & what they feel like doing in that moment🩵

So, with a mission in mind, a location chosen & a team of children raring to go. We set off on our short walk to “The Cob” 🌱 A local, peaceful, woodland walk. With plenty of places to explore, investigate & .. build dens 🥰🥰

The children did a brilliant job working as a team to transport the den materials we brought along with us from nursery 🫶🏼 & They did an even better job working together to use these materials to put together lots of different dens & shelters 🩵

Isn’t it amazing how simple play can be? The power of a children’s imagination is a beautiful thing 🫶🏼

Here at Fun Days we love to set ourselves a challenge & a new goal to reach🫶🏼 & This Summer Holiday our mission is to simply - Brighten up, refresh & make our gardens greener 🌷🌱💚

We have lots of new equipment in our garden spaces & after a lot of hours, a lot of flat packs, a lot of moving things around & A LOT of a building🥲😂 … Everything is ready & in place across our 3 gardens. All we need to do now is add the finishing details & to do that, we’re getting hands on, stuck in & getting the children involved too 🫶🏼

We have so many ideas in mind & Are very excited about all the projects we’ve got going on💚

Last week the children came with us as we got everything started with a little shopping trip. Buying some gardening supplies, choosing some beautiful flowers & potting them into our Preschool & Afterschool Clubs’ new ‘growing area’ 🌱 🌷 💚

It’s a working progress but it’s definitely one we’re excited about .. 🥰

Last Week’ A group of our Holiday Club children ventured out on their scooters into the community 🥰 - Enjoying a lovely journey along the promenade ☀️

This little activity came after one of the children requested a trip to the Skate Park. We love this idea & Honestly, the children here know that as long as it’s safe to do so, we’ll probably give it a go😂🥰

However - They also understand that sometimes in order for us to say ‘Yes’ to certain activities, especially those that mean leaving the setting. It can take some planning, practice & risk assessing 🩵

So here’s the deal we have. Before we head to the skate park, let’s practice. Let’s learn how to be safe in the community on our scooters .. let’s assess the risks, start small, build it up & revisit the idea when everyone’s more confident in the group 🥰

And that’s exactly what we’re doing .. one little trip at a time. Teaching the children safety, road awareness & reminding them how important it is to work towards something you really want to do 🩵 - even the little things x

Last week this group did amazing. The awareness near the road, the respect and understanding to themselves & the people around them and following all the rules we put in place to keep them safe 🩵

We are very proud of them 🥰

Messy & Fun Science Experiments 🧪 are the ‘current trend ’ in our holiday club this week 🧑‍🔬 .. We can’t wait to see what other fun they mix up ✨

Sometimes it’s the simplest of things that bring the most joy 🫶🏼

A early Monday morning stroll around the lake, a play on the park & sometime spent tumbling down the little hills, laughing, racing & enjoying each other’s company ❤️

Every year the gratitude & appreciation shown to our team is overwhelming🥹 The love, the thoughtful messages in cards, the trinkets, treats & gifts .. all unexpected but hugely appreciated & treasured 🥹❤️

We’d like to say a huge’ Thank You ✨ To each & everyone of the children & their wonderful families. Thank You, for another wonderful year, for allowing us to be apart of your children’s journey & for all of the appreciation 🫶🏼 … We really are grateful to you all x

It’s Friday, School has finished for the Summer ☀️, We’re saying goodbye to some of our older friends who head to high school🥹 & The sun is shining once again.
We had to make sure that we ended it all in true Fun Days Style .. Fun, Laughter, Friends & Smiles ❤️

We had music on, an open ice cream bar, a garden full of friends & the chance to join in a good old fashioned pillow fight 🤣🥰🫶🏼
Perfect combination to end the summer term & kick start the summer holidays ☀️
