Glycerol is used to keep slush drinks from freezing solid, but at high levels, it can be dangerous for young children with new findings showing that even one serving could pose a risk.

The FSA’s Board has endorsed our advice that slush ice drinks containing glycerol are not suitable for children under 7, and no refills should be offered for children under 10, this advice is based on 350ml serving.

Parents and guardians should check with the seller on whether the drink contains glycerol.

⚠️Weaning Wednesday⚠️

🍬Marshmallows are on the list as a hazardous food for young children. 🍬

Why❓
⛔️They can be easily sucked into the airway if the child laughs or talks whilst in the mouth as they are so airy.
⛔️When they become wet they swell - if they become lodged in the airway they may become a problem to get out.

Ideally stay away from marshmallows until your child is older. 👍

🎈What an amazing year we have had at Ton tots🎈

We would like to thank every single person who has supported us this past year, we have loved watching your children grow and we know they will go on to thrive in their new adventures in September!

Thank you for all of your thoughtful cards, gifts and well wishes, we have been overwhelmed with your kindness and generosity! They are never expected but always very appreciated ❤️

Finally, I would like to say good luck to our graduates this year and I can’t wait to see you all back for wrap around in September, good luck to the children not returning to ton tots to start their own new adventures, you are going to thrive 🥰 Good luck to the children going to full time big school, you will be truly missed here at ton tots, we hope you have the best time 💙
