We have spaces available for September 2026! If you’re looking for a friendly, caring playgroup where your little one can learn, play and grow, we’d love to welcome you.

Take a look at just some of the wonderful experiences our children have enjoyed throughout the year. From golf sessions, meeting community helpers, to hatching chicks, exploring our sensory room, carrying out fun science activities, community walks, enjoying special visitors such as Father Christmas, and even a surprise ice cream van visit – every day is filled with exciting opportunities to learn through play.

🚸 Meeting Our Friendly Crossing Patrol Officer🚸

During the Summer Term, our local school crossing patrol officer visited the playgroup to teach the children about road safety. As she regularly helps families cross the road outside the local school, many of our children and parents/carers were already familiar with her. She taught the children the importance of stopping at the kerb, looking and listening for traffic, holding an adult’s hand, and using the crossing safely. The visit helped the children make meaningful links between what they learned and their everyday journeys to and from the playgroup and school

💚 ⛳ Just Play Golf Visits Our Setting! ⛳️ 💚

During the Summer Term, we were delighted to welcome Just Play Golf Penrhys to our setting for a fun filled session.

The children loved being introduced to golf in a fun and age-appropriate way. They enjoyed learning how to hold the golf club, hit the ball towards the targets and take turns, all while having lots of fun!

Activities like these help to develop children’s hand-eye coordination, balance, listening skills and confidence, while encouraging them to be active and try something new. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and the children celebrating each other’s achievements.

A huge thank you to the team at Just Play Golf for delivering such an engaging session. We can’t wait to welcome you back again soon! ⛳😊

Role Play Lane is running Meithrin Natur – Nature Nurture, a programme funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, offering a range of nature-based wellbeing activities throughout July and August.

Families can enjoy activities including gardening, wildlife exploration, creative workshops, nature play, forest school sessions and wellbeing activities, all designed to help children and their families connect with nature in fun, welcoming and inclusive ways.

There is a £3 contribution per family to secure your place.

🍦 A Special Treat for Tiddlywinks children Today! 🍦

Today we had a lovely surprise when the ice cream van paid us a visit! 😊
As a special treat from all of us at Ton Tiddlywinks, every child enjoyed choosing either an ice cream or an ice lolly. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and big smiles as everyone enjoyed their delicious ice creams together. ☀️🍭🍦

We love creating special memories like these for our children, and today was certainly one to remember! ❤️

🧪🔬 ExperiMENTAL Science came to visit the playgroup on the 13th of July 🔬🧪

Our little scientists had an exciting time exploring, investigating and making predictions during our first ExperiMENTAL Science session!

We mixed colourful potions to create mountains of bubbles, experimented with magical colour-changing paper, and discovered how colours can travel and blend in fascinating ways. 🌈✨

The excitement continued outdoors, where we headed into the garden for some explosive fun... with lots of safe science that made things POP! 💥
The children's faces said it all as they watched the reactions unfold!

Science is such a wonderful way to encourage curiosity, problem-solving and critical thinking, and we can't wait to see where our ExperiMENTAL adventures take us next ☺️

🎡🎈 What a wonderful time we had at yesterday’s Parents/Carers Stay & Play!🎈🎡

Our Garden Games & Fun Fair theme was a huge success, and it was so lovely to see everyone enjoying the sunshine, having fun together, and making special memories.

There was plenty to keep everyone entertained, including:

🥫 Knock the Tins Over
⭕ Ring Toss
🪣 Bucket Games
🎯 Target Throwing
🍔 A play BBQ for imaginative fun

It was fantastic to see so many smiles, laughter, and families playing together. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a special day. We can’t wait for our next Play & Stay! 💚

If you’re unable to get hold of your Health Visitor, please call 01443 803930.

A member of the team can check your postcode and also see whether you may be eligible through other criteria, which can include:

• Having three children under the age of 5
• A parent experiencing mental health difficulties or anxiety
• Limited family support
• A parent with a disability

Even if you’re unsure whether you qualify, it’s always worth making the call. The team will be happy to check your circumstances and advise whether you may be eligible for Flying Start support.
