Thank you to everyone who entered a cake into our Junior Bake Off. Some incredible creations, both delicious and imaginative. Mrs Chick and Mrs Evans thoroughly enjoyed adjudicating them and didn't need to eat any lunch afterwards.

A massive diolch to everyone who attended our school fete today. It was lovely to see so many people making the most of the sunshine. Thank you to all the children who stayed and helped with the stalls, we really appreciate your hard work and effort. Thank you to the Guides and Rainbows who work hard to support the school. We will let you know how much money we made once we've counted it. A special shout out to Rhondda Radio for entertaining us. Thanks again TPJS

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our school fete. The weather looks fine and we hope for a good turn out. The fete will start at 2.30 so the children can bring money to school to take part for the first 45 minutes, with parents welcome to join us at that time. We ask if you can enter the school by the main Bailey St entrance so that the yard gate can remain closed. If you are meeting your children at school and you request that they stay at the end of the day, can you let us know in the morning via the MCAS messaging service. Can any cakes be brought to school in the morning, with the child's name and year group clearly labelled. Mrs Chick and Mrs Evans will be our impartial adjudicators. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you tomorrow. TPJS

Just a reminder that the fete is happening this Monday 12th of June. It begins at 2.30 and pupils are welcome to bring in some money and peruse the stalls and take part in the activities during school time. We'd love parents and families to join us or meet their children at the end of the school day and visit us then. Lots on offer from school based merchandise, made by the children and independent retailers. Refreshments will be served and Rhondda Radio are coming along to entertain. If you are entering a cake, can you bring it to school, labelled with your child's name and year group on Monday morning. The winners will be awarded a cup and prize. Thank you for your continuing support and for helping us to fund memorable experiences for our pupils. TPJS

Congratulations to the Gala Swimming Team who won the cluster swimming competition at Ystrad Sports Centre today. They are all incredibly talented and made their teachers exceptionally proud. Their resilience and tenacity shone today and I am always blown away by their desire to succeed. Thank you to all the cluster schools that took part, with a special shout out to Gelli Primary for organising. It was fantastic to see so many parents in attendance and we thank you again for your support and encouragement. TPJS

Would you like to enter our baking competition? Bake a cake or cupcakes of your choice and bring them to school on Monday 15th of June to be judged. Prizes for different categories and all cakes will be sold in our school fete. I'm sure we have some budding Paul and Pru's in our school community. We can't wait to see your creations. Diolch TPJS
