🏡 WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE HERE?

Rhayader Town Council wants to hear your ideas for the future of the old Rugby Club building and the surrounding ground at Y Weirglodd.

We have an opportunity to create a community space that can be used and enjoyed by people of all ages – but before plans are developed, we want to know what YOU think Rhayader needs.

💭 What would you like to see inside the building?
🌳 How could we make better use of the surrounding outdoor space?
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 What facilities, activities or services would benefit you, your family, your club or organisation?

No idea is too big or too small at this stage. We want to hear from residents, young people, families, community groups, clubs and anyone who uses Rhayader.

🔥 An important message - Powys wildfires

Road closures remain in place, and members of the public are urged to continue respecting restrictions and diversion routes. These measures remain necessary to protect public safety and ensure emergency vehicles and specialist resources can access and operate in the area safely and effectively.

🚫 Stay away from the affected areas.
⛔ Do not ignore or move road closure signs.
🚗 Take extra care when travelling, as smoke may affect visibility in some areas.

Please stay well away from the area and give the emergency services the space they need to deal with the incident safely.

With the ground so dry, fire can spread incredibly quickly across open hillside. Please don’t head up for a closer look, and keep dogs and children away from the area.

🚒 Please help our emergency services by:
Keeping clear of the effected areas.
Not blocking access roads or gateways
Avoiding anything that could start another fire — BBQs, campfires, discarded ci******es or glass
Calling 999 if you spot a new fire or immediate danger

The Mayor had a number of official duties at the World Enduro GP of Wales this weekend. Rhayader Motor Club has certainly done the town and wider community proud. The President of the FIM opted to come to Rhayader rather than attend MotoGP at Silverstone, which is a tremendous honour and a true reflection of the magnitude of what the team of volunteers have achieved. Well done everyone.

bwgy.boy recording excellent words from our Mayor at the Enduro GP of Wales. A truly fantastic event. Well done to all involved in making it amazing. And what a fantastic evening both last night and tonight.

During July, the Mayor undertook a number of official engagements, including officially opening the Rhayader & District Vintage Show. During the event, the Mayoress chose the exhibit she would most like to take home and presented the winner with a trophy.

The Mayor also attended Rhayader Primary School to help judge a road safety poster competition organised by our County Councillor.

On Carnival Day, the Mayor has no official duties; however, the Mayoress was delighted to crown the Carnival Queen.

Bydd yr arolwg yn helpu i lunio Asesiad Llesiant Powys wedi'i diweddaru, dogfen allweddol sy'n ofynnol o dan Ddeddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau'r Dyfodol (Cymru) 2015, sy'n darparu asesiad o lesiant ledled Powys, gan edrych ar yr amodau presennol, yr hyn sy'n dylanwadu ar les pobl, a sut y gall hyn newid yn y dyfodol.
Mae'r Asesiad Llesiant yn ystyried pedair thema allweddol:
Cymdeithasol
Economi
Amgylchedd
Diwylliant a chymuned
Mae Bwrdd Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus Powys eisoes wedi casglu ystod eang o ddata a mewnwelediad ond mae bellach yn galw ar bobl leol i rannu eu profiadau a'u blaenoriaethau byw.
Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Jake Berriman, Cadeirydd Bwrdd Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus Powys:
"Rydym eisiau clywed yn uniongyrchol gan bobl ledled Powys am yr hyn sydd fwyaf pwysig yn eu bywydau bob dydd. Bydd eich adborth yn ein helpu i ddeall yn well yr heriau a'r cyfleoedd sy'n wynebu ein cymunedau, nawr ac yn y dyfodol."
