A huge thank you to Mr Sell, his brother and Mr Fisher from FRS along with Mrs Outhwaite and her husband who have all worked incredibly hard today.
We have started the first phase of our sensory garden, I’m sure you will agree it looks amazing already!
If you or any family members have any experience in carpentry, gardening or you could give up some time to help with the future phases please let us know. We are very excited to develop this area for the children.

We are very proud of our children over the last few days. They have been incredibly respectful, inquisitive and engaged in our VE Day work. We finished the week with a red with and blue day to mark the occasion.

Just to make you aware, there has been an accident on the A130.
This means traffic around the school is very busy epecially from Chelmsford direction.

Thank you so much to Friends of Rettendon School (FRS) for paying for the children to attend a 'panto in a day'. The company came into school this afternoon and performed Cinderella for the whole school to enjoy.
The children laughed at the jokes, joined in with the singing and dancing and had the full panto experience.
It was great for the children to see at the end that the three actresses played all 6 characters.
"They weren't good, they were great" (L in Y4)

Rettendon, today is the day !!

I’ve just finished a teams call with the main man and he’s happy you’ve all been good enough (well just in some cases) for him to visit this evening.

He is planning to arrive in Buckhatch Lane around 5 before heading down East Hanningfield Road to the Bell Public House.

From there, he will be flying strsight up to the school as stopping along that section of road is too dangerous for the elves and reindeer

Once at the school, he will head down the Main road, into Meadow Road, South View Road and Sonters Down before leaving the village and heading back to the North Pole to prepare for the 24th.

Don’t forget this is his last chance to double check his lists and make sure who’s been naughty or nice !

The Elves will be rattling their buckets to support the local Scout group and Chelmsford Round Table

Power Cut

Good afternoon, we have a power cut at school and the surrounding areas in the village. The children are all safe and are back in class from lunchtime. They have all had lunch and we are continuing with lessons as normal (minus technology).
At present, there is no estimated time for the power to resume from the network.
If you wish to collect your child early please come to the main office.

Thank you so much to Hurley’s Christmas tree farm (https://www.christmasfarm.co.uk) for the donation of our beautiful tree this year.
We can’t wait to see all of the decorations the children make to decorate it.

Well done to our amazing yr5/6 football team. Tonight, they played against Glebe Primary School and drew 5-5. We are very proud of them and the sportsmanship that was shown.
Thank you to Sweyne Park School for hosting and to Essex Elite for refereeing and coaching the team.
