Repton School

Repton School Repton School is a thriving co-educational independent day and boarding school for children aged 13 to 18 in the heart of England.

With around 650 pupils, the school is large enough to create a ‘buzz’ but small enough for all to flourish and to know one another. There are ten Boarding houses and all meals are taken within them, further reinforcing the family and caring atmosphere. Repton encourages a conscious equilibrium in all things, encouraging pupils to adopt a healthy balance between their studies, sport, activities of

all kinds and rest, so that they can emerge as rounded, multi-faceted individuals. The sense of balance that every Reptonian – from the age of 3 to 18 - benefits from is shaped by our five pillars: Pastoral Care; Academia; Sport; Extra Curricular and our Spirit of Place. Our pupils achieve in the classroom because they never have to prioritise academic achievement over their love of theatre, their aptitude for sport or their passion for music. Repton School is a very special place to study. Founded in 1557, the co-educational school is an integral part of the village of Repton in South Derbyshire and is based around a 12th Century Augustinian Priory and its stunning Garth and Cloisters. With 1000 years of education history behind us, the traditional values of encouraging pupils to aim high whilst showing respect for all are still of utmost importance, however, Repton is undoubtedly modern in terms of practice and outlook.

Yesterday, we celebrated the success of our O Block students on GCSE results day.

Half of our pupils' grades were awarded at the highest level, with a third securing grades at 8-9, and three quarters at 9-6.

Twelve pupils earned 89 grade 9s between them, led by Theo B with a perfect set of ten, and Anoushka H with ten grade 9s and a grade 8 across eleven subjects.

Congratulations to you all, and thank you to our teaching team who supported you through three demanding years.

We look forward to welcoming back the majority of this cohort to Lower Sixth this September👏🎉

To celebrate World Photography Day we wanted to capture how a Repton education isn’t confined to one place.

Each day pupils move through a school that is woven into the village around it: studying in cloisters, performing in pears school and training across our sporting facilities before returning to the houses they call home.

Beyond the classroom, that same sense of place continues through the grounds, the village and surrounding countryside. At Repton, the whole environment becomes part of the experience.

Repton’s summer Swimming Camp is in full stroke.

In the pool, athletes have benefited from elite-level training with Craig Prime, who has supported swimmers on their national and international debuts, with a focus on developing rhythm and maximising stroke reach.

Outside the pool, they’ve been building overall strength, fuelling their training with nutritious, freshly prepared meals and connecting with fellow aspiring swimmers.

These shots were captured on day one, and with three more days of training ahead, we can’t wait to see our swimmers continue to develop and chase those personal bests.

We wanted to take a moment to shine a light on a few of the exceptional individuals who have reached remarkable academic heights.

These pupils achieved the highest A-level results in their cohort, with Fisayo standing among the very best nationally. Leaving Repton with an outstanding 6 A*s, Fisayo’s results place him in the top 1% of students across the country.

Our pupils have gone on to secure offers from some of the world’s leading universities, including Harvard, Cambridge, Durham, Warwick, Bath and Imperial College London, building on an exceptional foundation of academic achievement. While others have chosen to take a different path this year, continuing to build on their academic achievements and prepare for the next stage of their journey.

With the percentage of A* grades continuing to rise, selecting just a handful of pupils to celebrate was no easy task. Every member of the cohort has given us reason to be proud and excited for the future.

We wish the Class of 2026 the best and watch as 80% of them accept offers from their first-choice university.

An incredible day for our Upper Sixth!

Nearly a quarter of all grades were awarded at A*, with 48% of entries at A* or A, and 79% at A* to B, with 21 pupils achieving straight A* and A grades across their subjects.

80% of the Class of 2026 are taking up their first choice university places, from Oxford and Cambridge, to Harvard, McGill, and Louisiana State.

Congratulations to every one of you, and thank you to the teaching, pastoral, and examinations staff who supported them through two demanding years. We look forward to welcoming back the Class of 2026 as Old Reptonians 👏

This week marks the start of the 2026 A Level and GCSE results period, and we would like to wish all of our Upper Sixth and Year 11 pupils the very best of luck as they receive their results.

After months of hard work and determination, this is an exciting and important moment for our pupils. We hope they can take a moment to reflect on everything they have achieved throughout their time with us.

Whatever the results may bring, we are so proud of each of them and can’t wait to see what life beyond the Arch will entail.
