We were delighted to welcome our parents/carers in to the school to enjoy our Christmas Show! The pupils’ singing and performing put smiles on everyone’s faces and filled the hall with festive joy!

We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded a prize from the Renfrewshire Attainment Team for our community involvement during Maths Week Scotland. What a lovely end to a fun filled week!
Today lots of our families enjoyed participating in the Newmains’ Family Maths Hunt around the local community. It was great to see our pupils working as a team with their parents/carers to solve the maths problems. Great work everyone!
Today’s big Maths Week Scotland challenge involved vertical learning and many pupils displaying excellent leadership skills!
Our pupils had great fun working in teams to complete an outdoor maths trail.

We had great fun during our first day of Maths Week Scotland! We used instruments to count the beat to music, used technology to play games, worked in teams and took our learning outdoors!

As part of our Maths Week Scotland celebrations, a group of our Primary 5 - 7 pupils visited Renfrew Care Home to play Bingo with some of the residents. The pupils had to work with their partners to solve maths problems to find the correct numbers to cross off.
We were so proud of how they displayed our school values when visiting the care home.

The Newmains Eco Committee are delighted to share their good news. Last week we received our new Green Flag which will soon be flying proudly outside the school. Our focuses of Litter, School Grounds and Transport and lead to a cleaner playground, classes reusing materials in projects, more recycling possibilities, more children travelling in an active way to school, bike ability training and the outdoor space being utilised for learning. Throughout all of this ran the sustainable goal of Good Health.
To celebrate, the Eco Committee had a party in the Outdoor Classroom.
