Today we celebrated our preschoolers as they head towards the next chapter of their learning journey. We were delighted to have The Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead as well as The Mayoress in attendance to watch our little ones shine on their preschool graduation day. Congratulations YMCA Sovereign Pre-school Class of 2026!

What a wonderful time we had at the seaside today!The YMCA Sovereign preschoolers had the best time playing in the sand, splashing in the sea, climbing on the rocks and learning so much about the world around them.

It was a hot day down at the farm on Friday for our annual YMCA Sovereign Pre-school summer trip but that didn't stop us having a wonderful time! Thank you to the 47 members of our preschool community who were able to join us and a big thanks to Godstone Farm for being amazing hosts once again!

The YMCA Sovereign Pre-school team took part in a CPD/INSET day at The Old Pheasantry, yesterday.

Forest school offers a unique opportunity for both children and the staff to connect with nature and each other in deeply meaningful ways. By embracing playfulness and vulnerability, the team not only enhance the experience for children but also rediscover their own capacity for joy and curiosity!

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to summer term part 2 today!

With intergenerational learning on the rise, today the preschoolers joined John’s strength and balance class, alongside some of our older friends.
Inspired by the work of Dr Judith Ish-Horowicz, the Principal of Apples & Honey Nightingale, an intergenerational nursery located within a care home in South London, where she founded the first nursery to embed daily intergenerational activities within its early years curriculum.
The preschoolers are already looking forward to meeting with their ‘grand-friends’ for their next class!

YMCA East Surrey Fun Run! Well done to our preschoolers who took part today! We are so proud of you!

Have you found out your child's primary school for September 2026 and looking for wrap-around childcare options?

YMCA East Surrey Y-Kids run two Afterschool Clubs in Redhill and Reigate! Children are collected from school by trained YMCA playworkers and driven back to the YMCA centres. On arrival, children are given a healthy snack and then get the chance to enjoy structured sessions of sports, cookery, arts and crafts or can just relax and hang out with friends.

We collect from the following schools:
YMCA Sports and Community Centre, Redhill:
Federation of Earlswood Schools, Hatchlands School & St Joseph’s, Redhill
YMCA Sovereign Centre, Reigate:
Dovers Green, Reigate Priory and Sandcross Schools

We're also holding a few open days for you to come and see the settings with your child. Please email us if you'd like to attend.
YMCA Sports and Community Centre, Princes Road, Redhill, RH1 6JJ - Friday 1st May / Monday 1st June - drop in between 3pm and 6pm
YMCA Sovereign Centre, Slipshatch Road, Reigate, RH2 8HA - Monday 11th May / Wednesday 10th June - drop in between 4pm and 6pm

Children who attend Y-Kids After School Club can also book onto our term-time activities, allowing them to learn and develop new sporting skills, such as football, trampolining and gymnastics (additional costs apply).
