Happy World Book day!

If your child finds reading difficult there are plenty of ways to make it accessible and enjoyable for them.

Dyslexia friendly books such as the ones in the example below utilise the Hi-Lo approach, meaning that the content is appropriate to the age of the reader but the text is edited to suit a lower reading age. They also use fonts and papers that reduce visual stress and are easier to read.

Another way of enabling children to access literature at their interest level is to use audio books. The yoto players have a huge range of books for older children and Tonie boxes are great for younger children.

All children deserve to be able to access and enjoy books!

Explore super-readable, accessible books for all children from Barrington Stoke. Written by top UK writers and illustrators. Find the perfect book by interest or reading age. Browse books today!
