Finally it’s lamp season! This new scalloped, ceramic lamp is from a selection which complement my handsewn lampshades, at The Collective in Westerham. Loving the way this shape works with my pistachio striped petticoat lampshades.

I’ve tried to organise my website in ways that make sense. If you’re looking for ‘reds & pinks’, ‘ticking stripes’ or ‘ruffles’, you can find them. Similarly I’ve ‘bunched’ 💐 all my floral designs, both sewn to order, and one-off designs, in a collection. This damson features heavily as it is so beautiful. You can order a handsewn lampshade in this fabric as a plain or ruffle drum, with a gorgeous ecru fringe, or as one of my ‘petticoat’ lampshades.

I have definitely been in my classic gingham and stripes era for a while now. These designs are eternal, designed to slot right in with ease. But new florals are coming! I’ll be showcasing new fabrics into the autumn and winter.

In the meantime, send me your own! Bespoke lampshades are my very favourite to make. My lampshades are designed to last a lifetime, an investment to make you smile every time you walk past them x

A sweet little 8” base ruffle drum. Handsewn in a carefully selected teal cotton with matching trim and a creamy cotton lining.

This little lampshade is the perfect size for a small rechargeable lamp in my client’s kitchen. I have very firm opinions about lamps in kitchens - they are essential!

Lamps can happily over-rule uniform kitchen ceiling spot lighting by providing colour, atmosphere and interest. Lamps soften the hardline edges of countertops with texture and cosiness. I’m allergic to the ‘big light’ 💡 in my own kitchen (!) and predictably rely on a series of lamps dotted about instead 🫶🏻.

Each stitch is mine, handsewn here in the little BL studio in Surrey. Lined with pleated cotton, finished with handmade trim, beautifully wrapped, and sent to you in as little as 3 weeks, lead time dependent.
