Stuck for what to say when introduced to someone new and they ask "What do you do?"
Stay at home parenting is a choice. It’s not for everyone for a whole plethora of reasons, but if you are a SAHP, please please please say it with pride, with self confidence and with self-worth.
I’m reminded so often how many parents out there stay at home because that’s what works for their family and their circumstances, but they completely lose sight of the importance of their role.
It doesn’t matter why you have decided to be a SAHP, what matters is that you are doing an amazing job, perhaps the glue holding your family together, perhaps supporting a partner to fulfil their ambitions, perhaps taking care of a child that needs you full time. The reason doesn’t matter, but the credit you give yourself does matter.
Do something today to boost your confidence, keep up with your goals, remember your personal development is important too.
Think about coaching, it's for everyone, not just high flying execs! Whatever your goals, your ambitions, coaching can be a great tool to help you.
