☀️ Week 12 – The Continental Escape ☀️

What a wonderful way to finish the summer term! Despite the very warm weather in Reigate, with temperatures reaching around 29–30°C across Tuesday and Wednesday, our students embraced the heat and produced some truly beautiful paintings.

This week’s acrylic project, The Continental Escape, transported us to a glamorous Mediterranean setting, complete with a classic vintage car, elegant architecture and sun-drenched scenery. It was the perfect project to finish the term, allowing everyone to develop their skills in perspective, colour mixing and expressive brushwork.

A huge thank you to our lovely Branch Manager, Fiona, who treated everyone to a delicious selection of Mr Kipling cakes, helping keep spirits high during the hot weather!

🎨 Don’t forget! Our Art Exhibition is taking place on Wednesday 22nd July 2026, and everyone is warmly welcome to come along and celebrate the incredible artwork our students have created throughout the year.

Week 10 – Walkies! 🐾🎨

What a lovely week at Seasons Art Class Reigate & Redhill! Our students had a fantastic time bringing this joyful seaside dog to life using acrylic impasto techniques, creating wonderful texture, movement and bold brushstrokes.

Highlights this week included celebrating Jan’s birthday on Wednesday morning with a birthday cake and candle, while our Tuesday class was expertly led by the lovely Charlotte, who kindly stepped in to provide holiday cover for Lisa.

We also enjoyed another delicious homemade treat, with Fiona’s chocolate marble cake keeping everyone fuelled for an afternoon of creativity. Combined with the warm, sunny weather, it made for another perfect week of painting and great company.

A huge well done to all of our talented students—we’re so proud of everything you’ve created! ❤️

⛵🎨 Week 9 at Seasons Art Class Reigate & Redhill was certainly a warm one, with temperatures soaring to around 40°C! Thankfully, the heat didn’t stop our talented artists from creating these beautiful mixed media boat scenes in this week’s project, In The Bay.

Students explored collage, acrylic paint and charcoal techniques to create wonderfully textured coastal artwork, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with this different and expressive style. The finished pieces were full of character, texture and creativity, and we’re incredibly proud of what our students achieved.

To help keep everyone cool, our lovely Branch Manager Fiona treated the class to ice creams and ice lollies, which were very much appreciated on such a hot days!

🌸🎨 Week 8 at Seasons Art Class Reigate & Redhill saw our artists create this beautiful Patio Pots watercolour painting, inspired by the charm and colour of an English garden.

This week’s project introduced masking fluid techniques, helping our students preserve bright highlights and delicate floral details. The results were absolutely stunning, and we’re incredibly proud of the artwork produced.

We were also lucky enough to enjoy warm sunshine throughout the afternoon, along with a wonderful selection of sweet treats, tea and coffee kindly provided by Fiona.

It’s hard to believe we’re already approaching Week 9 – this term is flying by!

🚋🎨 Week 7 at Seasons Art Class Reigate & Redhill saw our artists take on the exciting challenge of Urban Sketching using watercolour pencils and washes.

This week we explored perspective, architecture, colour and atmosphere as we brought a charming city street scene to life. From the cobbled roads to the iconic yellow tram, everyone created their own unique interpretation of the project, and it was wonderful to see so much creativity around the room.

Thankfully, the weather was much kinder to us this week! Although a little breezy at times, we enjoyed a bright and sunny afternoon while painting and socialising with friends.

Of course, none of our art classes would be complete without one of Fiona’s delicious homemade cakes, and this week’s lemon drizzle cake was absolutely superb! 🍋☕

🍇🎨 Week 6 at Seasons Art Class Reigate & Redhill brought a little bit of Tuscany to Surrey as we explored our beautiful Vineyard landscape project using watercolour pencils.

While thunder rumbled, lightning flashed and rain poured down outside, our artists stayed warm and cosy indoors, transforming pencil marks into vibrant washes of colour and creating some stunning vineyard scenes.

The weather may have been dramatic, but it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits! Between the painting, plenty of tea and coffee, and Fiona’s delicious homemade gingerbread cake, we enjoyed another wonderful afternoon of creativity, friendship and artistic exploration.

It’s always inspiring to see how each artist interprets the same subject in their own unique way. Well done everyone on another fantastic session!

🐪☀️ This week at Seasons Art Class Reigate, we travelled all the way to Cairo with our Week 5 oil pastel project, “Camel in Cairo”!

The weather was certainly appropriate for the occasion. As Reigate enjoyed glorious sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures, making it feel more like the Egyptian desert than Surrey!

Our artists had a wonderful afternoon exploring colour, texture and layering techniques with oil pastels while creating these characterful camels inspired by the vibrant colours of Cairo.

As always, creativity was fuelled by plenty of tea, coffee, cold drinks and a delicious selection of luxury biscuits. There was lots of laughter, great conversation and some fantastic artwork produced along the way.

It’s always amazing to see how every student brings their own unique style and personality to the same project.

Well done everyone on another enjoyable and creative afternoon. We can’t wait to see what next week’s project brings!
