Safeguarding/Health and Safety.
Over the summer staff will not be available daily and they will only be periodically checking emails for safeguarding information each week. If you have any safeguarding concerns please contact :-

The Early Help Hub - 01872 322277: This service covers pretty much everything from parental support to mental health issues. Usually a good 'first point of call' to make.

MARU (Multi agency referral unit) 0300 1231 116: This service is more specific to child safety. If you suspect a child is being subject to or has the potential to any harm then call these people. They offer and provide a very reassuring service and will usually involve other agencies (Police, Schools, Social Services) where necessary. 911 or 999: It might seem obvious, but if you know or suspect a child is in danger - do not hesitate to call the police.

We know that changes in routine can make the summer holidays feel a little bit tricky at times...that's why this summer we are delighted to share our 'Camborne Reads' itinerary🌞

On the following dates, we will be holding free, relaxed storytime and book gifting sessions in different parks and green spaces across Camborne.

We know that lots of families have different commitments and routines, so we have varied the days and times to make these sessions as accessible as possible.

As with all of our activities, there's no need to book, just turn up and join us, and don't worry if you arrive after the advertised start time, everyone is welcome at any time.

Portreath pre school would like to say a huge thank you to Aqua Rod South West Ltd for sponsoring our leavers hoodies enabling us to raise much needed funds as well as purchasing us a new pedal bike for our children. Support like this goes a long way in helping our small non profit charity run pre school continue to provide high quality resources and opportunities, ensuring future children receive the same care, support and enriching experiences for years to come - so thank you very much!

The PSR is a free UK-wide service that provides additional advice and support for eligible households, including extra assistance and communications during interruptions to electricity, gas or water supplies.

Parents and carers with children under five can register, as can people who are reliant on medical equipment, have a disability, a chronic illness, a mental health condition, or other circumstances that mean they may need extra support.

Eligibility is not limited to these groups. If anyone in a household meets the vulnerability criteria – even on a temporary basis – they may be eligible to join the PSR. Additional eligibility criteria are available on the PSR website.

The PSR helps utility companies identify households that may need extra support, including priority updates during supply interruptions, tailored communications, and access to additional assistance where needed. We had a lovely morning sharing snack and drinks with the Portreath Parish Council during their Thursday coffee morning. We have been working alongside the Penlee Family Project sharing letters and pictures over the term. We have found out so much about each other and it has been lovely for all involved.
