The Year 11s competed in the County 10s competition at Newquay Tretherras, facing a challenging group consisting of Penair, Poltair and Penryn. Despite not progressing beyond the group stages, the boys put in a number of strong performances and played some excellent rugby throughout the day.
Two outstanding tries were scored by Oli S and Liam B, highlighting the attacking quality within the squad. Defensively, Logan N and Luc K were exceptional, putting in relentless tackling performances and showing tremendous commitment from the first whistle to the last.
Although the results did not go our way, the team represented the school superbly, demonstrating resilience, determination and a positive attitude against strong opposition throughout the tournament

A fixture to remember for the U16 girls as they finished 4-1 winners in the second round of the ESFA National Cup. The team travelled to Saltash and found themselves in a very even first 25 minutes until a perfect through ball from Isla was met by Phoebe who lobbed the keeper to break the deadlock. Link up play from Ruby and Tilda threatened the Saltash goal again before an excellent long-range strike from Saltash brought the game back to 1-1.
The girls settled well into the second half and two further goals from Phoebe, to get her hatrick, and a well-deserved goal from Tilda gave us the edge. Saltash remained an attacking threat throughout but the back 4 put in a shift to prevent any further Saltash goals alongside a star performance from goalkeeper Clodagh. Player of the match went to Ibhie, who continuously broke up midfield play and was relentless in her work to win the ball back. Well done girls, into the next round!

The U15 netball team travelled to Brannel School to compete in the County Tournament involving 26 schools from across Cornwall.
In the group stages, Redruth started with a draw against Penrice School in an evenly fought game in which they had to battle against the blustery conditions. In the second game the teamwork, communication and understanding showed resulting in an excellent win against Torpoint School. This continued with wins against Bude and Wadebridge. This left us with our final match against Truro School but despite our best efforts, Truro proved too strong.
After an excellent morning of netball, we qualified into the top group for the next stage. This was a difficult afternoon facing the top teams from the other groups. The resilience of the girls was brilliant showing a never give up attitude and working hard for each other in every game against Mounts Bay, Newquay Tretherras, Penryn, Penair and a rematch with Truro School, but the opposition was just too strong. The hard work paid off with a hard fought contest against Richard Lander which finished with victory. A fantastic day finishing 7th on the day. Congratulations to all the players for a successful tournament.

Well done to the U16 netball squad who competed in the County tournament at Brannel School on Saturday.

We faced a tough group, but were all up for working as a team and playing our own game against some very technically sound teams. The girls showed huge resilience and some great episodes of play through the court, their work rate was very impressive gaining many turn overs that led to goal. Our stand out performance was against Richard Lander where we were behind at half time but went on to win in the second 7 minutes.

Thank you all for a great day, very proud of you all.
