This week our cooking sessions included making smoothies, cooking up delicious lunches, baking desserts as well alongside various team games and activities in the park including Slack Line, Breakdancing, nature crafts and a good ol game of British Bulldog!

Huge thanks to Tropical Pressure Festival for having us again this year!!! An absolute belter
We had the best time working in the movements area again alongside some wonderful humans making some positive movements towards a better future for us all. 💗
The turnout was amazing and I am blown away by the level effort from our UniTea dreamteam, keeping everyone happy and fed this weekend in the blazing sun, shoutout to young neena who worked tirelessly serving bubble teas and lemonade to many of you too.

Huge thanks to all those that came and ate and chilled with us., it was a great addition having our cosy living room space this year where we ran workshops around food, waste, growing, community resilience and preservation.
Some more highlights were our area showing the football on the Saturday where about 1000 people all gathered in our little space and watched it on the big screen, handing out bowls of Dahl and cauli rice til the early hours with my little ns. 😆
Also my fave part was collecting all of our surplus on the Sunday and gathered with a pay-as-you-feel communal feast in the field 💗 .

We have a new polytunnel!!!!! It’s HUGE
So so excited to see a dream become a reality, huge shout out to Beni for leading the project and all those that have contributed energy getting it up and towards the crowdfunder for making it all possible. Super challenging in this heat too.
Grateful!! Few finishing touches to go and this will be a new communal growing and eating space for years to come. Yay 🙌 🎉 🥳 🍲 stand by for details on the opening launch party soon.

🚧 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY! 🌱

We’re putting up our big new polytunnel and setting up the new indoor growing space at Food Troops this Friday & Saturday, 10am–4pm, and we’d love your help!

💪 No experience necessary – just come along and get stuck in.
🥪 Food provided.
🦺 Please bring high-vis and sensible shoes if you have them.

If you’d like to join us, please drop us a message beforehand so we know you’re coming.

Announement 📢

We’re excited to let you know that bookings for this year’s Time2Move Summer Holiday Programme are now LIVE on Playwaze!

If you have children aged approximately 6–12 years old, you can now book their places for our fun-filled summer sessions. Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
FREE for those on free school meals
We can’t wait to welcome everyone for another fantastic summer of food, games, gardening, creativity, and outdoor adventures!

If you need any help with booking or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
