Few sad loses over the last few days … RIP Aaron Spears & Mathew Perry
There are no words to express the depth of our sadness at the loss of our dear friend, Aaron Spears.
Aaron's greatest pride and joy was his beloved role as father and husband. Our most sincere condolences are with Jessica, August, and the entire Spears family during this unimaginably difficult time. You are forever a part of our Remo family, and our hearts and support are with you, always.
As we grieve, the refrain around Remo is that "Aaron was a shining light", and nothing could be more true. From the brightness of his smile and warmth of his presence, to the joy of his laughter and the way his attention made anyone feel accepted, Aaron was a genuine soul and truly special person.
Aaron brought his unique spark to the art of drumming like only he could, and he shared that light far and wide. Through his skill, passion for education, and infectious personality, he became a regular headliner at every prestigious drum festival, generously giving of his time and knowledge to musicians and students alike.
As a world-renowned musician, his rhythm lives on through his time and relationships with Usher, Ariana Grande, Jordan Sparks, Jamal Moore, Gerald Heyward, Gorden Campbell, Nisan Stewart, Teddy Campbell, Cora Coleman, and many more. While his immense talent and gracious spirit brought him worldwide admiration and respect, Aaron always remained close to his hometown gospel roots, making sure to visit and play in DC often.
The extent of our grief speaks to the greatness of Aaron's life. Forever missed, forever in our hearts, Rest in Power, dear friend.
