Join local author and storyteller, Alasdair Hoswell, on Thursday 17 and Saturday 19 April, 10am-12pm, for an epic Easter adventure where the legend of the Cornish dragons comes to life! 🏰✨

Deep beneath the mines of Cornwall, ancient Cornish dragons have guarded their golden eggs for centuries. But now, a powerful storm has scattered them across the land! Cornish King Arthur (played by Alasdair 👑⚔️) is calling on brave explorers, fearless knights, daring princesses, and even friendly dragons, to help recover the lost dragon eggs before the mischievous piskies claim them for their own!

Create and decorate your very own legendary dragon! Will it be a fearsome fire-breather or a gentle guardian of the land? Let your imagination decide. 🔍Search high and low for the hidden dragon eggs! Discover the Legends of the Cornish Dragons with interactive storytelling and imaginative play – YOU become part of the story!

Enjoy parachute games and escape from the Cornish dragons! Can you dodge the dragon’s fiery breath? Will you sneak past the sleeping beast? Work together in exciting, fast-paced games to outrun the legendary creatures!

Dress-up is encouraged! Come as an explorer, dragon hunter, King Arthur, a princess, or even a dragon, and help save Cornwall’s legendary creatures!

This Easter, magic and adventure await - will YOU answer the call of the Cornish dragons? 🐲

Today the Nursery enjoyed a visit from Healthy Cornwall and Brighter Smiles who ran some workshops on healthy eating and dental hygiene. The children enjoyed tasting a range of foods and exploring some new foods that are perfect for a balanced packed lunch. They also practised their tooth brushing skills with Douglas the dragon.

Last week some of our children joined some of the junior children as part of the Redruth Learning Group's annual dance, where many schools from around the area get together to showcase dance and performing arts. The event’s theme this year was 'Top of the Pops – Through the Decades’ with Trewirgie children dancing to a 1940s mashup of ‘The Last Post’ and ‘Boogie Woogle Bugle Boy’. Thank you to the organisers, for such a wonderful event. Also, a big thank you to Mrs Cooper and Miss Lamden for their fantastic 1940s choreography!

Gool Peran Lowen. We have had a super couple of weeks starting our Kernow topics in all year groups. We had fun taking St Piran and his lowarn (fox), brogh (badger) and badh (boar) on the parade in Saturday. We loved our pasty lunch and making St Piran’s flags. Our YR children enjoyed a walk up to Carn Uny to learn about mining and look out for the knockers and they have learnt how to make a proper cream tea!

Gool Peran Lowen! Happy St Piran’s Day for Wednesday. Today we took part in the parade in Redruth. So lovely to see everyone in town in the sunshine. Thanks to all the children and staff who helped parade our St Piran’s story characters, Lowarn, Brogh and Badh (fox, badger and boar) through the town. Thank you parents for making your children look super smart - they did us proud!
