Easter is upon us. Our two easter rabbits are out checking for students not wearing their lanyards. They are armed with Easter eggs and a smile for all entering Brunel this morning.

Within the past few weeks our level 2 and 3 Electrical Students attended a Meet the Expert Presentation at the college by Steven Rice from Steinel talking about the benefits of motion sensors controlling lighting system in homes, factory units and car parking facilities.

The merits of energy saving is ever more important today due to the high unit cost of electricity.

Just look around most towns you will see building with lights on but no one there, for small price and simple install they could all be saving money.

Be on the lookout for these full-time L1 students from our plumbing division.

They have been working on some central heating fault finding exercises in our new dedicated workshop area.

These plumbers of the future will contribute to keeping us warm this winter with their freshly acquired abilities and self-assurance.

This week we saw the students from our 10-week bricklaying bootcamp, constructing
their brick piers.

The bootcamp helps adults looking for a career change or just want more information to help them complete an extension or DIY project.
👷‍♂️
This course is a great steeping stone to gain access to the building industry. The health and safety test taken within this course, will enable them to apply for their CSCS card.

Welcome to Brunel.

This is the construction centre on the Cornwall College Camborne site. We deal with all construction trades from Carpentry, Joinery and Furniture to plastering brickwork and property maintenance. Plumbing, heating and gas to domestic and industrial electrical installations.

We train the next generation of trades people, weather it be 16-19 students (full time), Adult students (19+) and we are the number one provider for apprenticeships in the southwest.
