100 Acrewood Pre-School

This week at preschool, our children have been busy learning through play and exploration! 🌟

🚜 In our construction area, the children used diggers with sand, bricks, and cereal, developing their imaginative play and fine motor skills.

🚀 They travelled into space, creating rocket ships and meeting friendly aliens while building with magnetic tiles, encouraging creativity and problem-solving.

🖤 Our black glitter playdough was a big hit, giving little hands a chance to squeeze, roll, and create while strengthening those important hand muscles.

💧 At the water tray, the children enjoyed filling and pouring activities, exploring capacity and developing early mathematical concepts.

✂️ We also practised our cutting skills with scissors, building confidence, coordination, and control.

It has been a wonderful week full of curiosity, creativity, and lots of smiles 😊

What a fantastic week we’ve had at 100 Acrewood. Our children have been busy exploring, creating, and learning through play 😊

🏴‍☠️ We set sail on exciting adventures with our pirate ships and magical mermaids, using our imaginations to create wonderful stories 🧜‍♀️🧜‍♂️

🦕 Our dinosaur swamp was a huge hit, especially when we discovered icy dinosaur eggs and explored how they melted to reveal the dinosaurs inside 🪾🌳

💇‍♀️ The children enjoyed role-playing in our hairdressers, barbers, and make-up salon, developing their communication skills and confidence

🚗 Happyland Village provided lots of opportunities for imaginative play, with children creating journeys and adventures using the cars and figures 🏠

🍯 At circle time, we had great fun playing the Honey Pot Game, encouraging listening skills, turn-taking, and teamwork 🥰

It’s been a week full of fun, learning, and laughter. We can’t wait to see what adventures next week brings 😊

What an exciting week of adventures we’ve had at preschool! ☀️🦖🧚‍♀️🐝

Our little explorers stomped through dinosaur lands with the train tracks, travelled down to Old MacDonald’s farm, and stepped into a magical fairyland full of wonder and imagination ✨

We buzzed into National Bee Day, learning all about our busy bees and why they are so important 🐝 The children also got hands-on at our cow milking station in the water tray, there were lots of giggles and splashes along the way! 🐄💦

One of the most magical moments of the week was releasing our beautiful butterflies and watching them spread their wings and fly away 🦋

Out in the sunshine, the children enjoyed exciting garden adventures with sand play, bubbles floating through the air, and bug hunting discoveries in the garden 🌿🔍

What a fantastic week of learning, laughter, and adventure it has been!

We are now off for the week and will return on the 1st June. We hope all our wonderful families enjoy the sunshine and have a lovely break 😊

What a fun filled week we’ve had at preschool! 🌟

Our little explorers went on a wild adventure learning all about 🦁 Safari Animals, roaring like lions and stomping like elephants! We also transformed into amazing 🦸 Superheroes, using our imaginations to save the day with kindness and teamwork.

The water tray turned into a bubbly 🚗 Car Wash where the children had lots of splashing fun cleaning the cars and developing their fine motor skills.

We became mini chefs and made our very own 🍕 pizzas — choosing toppings, spreading sauce, and enjoying every delicious bite!
All week we have celebrated 🎤 Eurovision with lots of singing, dancing, music, and smiles. The children loved showing off their best dance moves and performing like little stars 🌟

As usual we had a great dance class with Lily from kicks dance and lots of fun out side in the garden in between the rain and hail ☔️

We ended the week with a relaxing 🌸 Mini Spa experience for Mental Health Awareness Week. The children enjoyed gentle hand massages, calming head massages, and refreshing cucumber water while taking time to relax, unwind, and focus on wellbeing. 💚

Another great week at 100 Acrewood 😊
We have been making lemon 🍋 and cucumber 🥒 tea in the water tray, making beautiful patterns and shapes with the playdough and making so many amazing creations with the stickle bricks 🧱
The children have loved using their imagination with a big dolls house, they have played mummy’s and daddy’s, paw patrol and recreating things they do at home 🏠
We have enjoyed our time out in the garden this week, building sandcastles 🏜️ riding the bikes 🏍️ and playing catch with the balls 🥎
Our hungry little caterpillars 🐛 are now snug in their cocoons, not long until the wake up as beautiful butterflies 🦋

We have had such a great week, enjoying being out in the garden with the beautiful sunshine ☀️ We were lucky enough to have some lovely new equipment for the garden, new trikes and a walk-about trike 🚲 Lisa had to test them out to make sure they worked 😂 We have a new giant spinning top and new balance boards too. How lucky are we!
The 100 Acrewood construction site was busy with our builders building houses, walls and mazes🧱🏠 Some of them were busy digging and some were just having a cup of tea 🫖
We have been planting in the soil, filling the pots, digging and getting very messy and also using our counting skills to count the ladybirds 🐞 🌸🪏
Winnie the Pooh was living the dream in the 100 Acrewood garden as there were lots of bee’s 🐝collecting nectar from the flowers 🌺 and making him some delicious honey 🍯 to share with his friends.
We have talked about the emergency services and how they help us when we need them 🚒🚓
There are some very exciting new arrivals at our preschool, our caterpillars 🐛 The children have named them Polly, Ted, Cassie, Jeff and Micky and we can’t wait see them turn into beautiful butterflies 🦋

Happy Friday 😊 what a great ( and busy) week we have had in the beautiful sunshine ☀️ We celebrated earth day this week by making our own planet Earths with the playdough and green and blue stones and we made Earth using a balloon and green and blue paint 🌏🌎🌍 At circle time we talked about recycling and what items we recycle and how we need to put our rubbish in the bin to protect our planet ♻️♻️
We went on an adventure to Jurassic world, the dinosaurs were were stomping, hiding in tree trunks and munching leaves high up in the trees, luckily they were all friendly and happy for us to play with them 🦕🦖
Later in the week we made England flags, played with the knights and the princesses and talked about how George slayed the dragon for St George’s day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
The sun was shining all week, which meant we had lots of fun in the garden. We had our own little mini digger land, with the ramps, diggers and tyres 🚜🚜🛞🛞 we made flower soup and mud pies in the mud kitchen 🌸🌸, we were digging for worms 🪱 and making our own music 🎵 in the sunshine with the musical instruments 🎷 🎸🥁

Welcome back 😊 We hope you all had a lovely Easter break, it’s been lovely to have you all back and welcome some new children.
We went on a magical adventure into the enchanted wood where we stumbled across a magic tree 🌳 we had a tea party with the fairies and picked some beautiful flowers to make some magical potions 🧚🌸🌻 The children loved listening to the story of the magic faraway tree an we spoke about what we would do if we lived in a magic tree 🌳
Our car garages were full up with cars that needed fixing and tyres that needed replacing, fixing cars is hard work and we all needed a snack after. 🚗🛞
Pouring and filling with the water is a favourite activity at preschool, we had coloured water, lots of jugs and even had some pretty blossom 🌸
We had lots of fun in the garden, riding the bikes and cars, catching and throwing with the balls, balancing on the balance boards and spinning in our turtle shells 🚲🚗🏀
It was lovely to have Lily back from Kicks Dance Reigate & Redhill, we all had fun showing Lily our best dance moves 💃
