How did we stay cool at Preschool today? โ˜€๏ธ
We chased the shade first thing this morning and enjoyed lots of outdoor water play ๐Ÿ’ฆ The children paddled in our mini paddling pool - it was so refreshing some children got more than their feet wet!! ๐Ÿ˜‚ We were also very busy washing our toys, taking turns at the water wall and playing under the gazebos and when the temperature started climbing we retreated indoors where it was lovely and cool!
We continued with water play indoors where the children observed how long it took for icebergs (or massive blocks of ice ๐ŸงŠ) to melt. Everyone enjoyed tip tops to keep them cool (or fruit if they preferred!) We tried out some novel ways to stay cool and one of the favourites was wearing cold damp cloths as scarves - they worked a treat!

We have transformed the home corner in Bears room to celebrate the World Cup โšฝ๏ธ ๐Ÿฅ… โšฝ๏ธ The children have enjoyed watching our pretend Wide Screen TV and talking about their favourite teams and flags ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ป ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Unfortunately not everyone can enjoy the match as there are always chores to be done!!! ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜œ

Tomorrow is Summer โ˜€๏ธ solstice ๐Ÿ˜Š (as well as father's day!) We will be celebrating on Monday 22nd June.

Please come in summer colours.

As we have a bit of a warm week, please ensure your child has a labelled hat and is wearing sun cream.

We are looking forward to welcoming our new intake of children for Preschool September 2026 to our open morning tomorrow! We will be showcasing our fabulous outdoor space including our dinosaur area, our mud kitchen and water wall, a strawberry and herb garden and our vegetable plot, not to mention our โ€œBee-friendly flower gardenโ€ ๐Ÿฆ• ๐Ÿฅ’ ๐Ÿ“ ๐Ÿช ๐ŸŒบ ๐Ÿƒ ๐Ÿ

What an amazing group of budding athletes we have in our Bears room! Well done to all of the children who took part in Sports Day with the children in Reception yesterday afternoon ๐Ÿฅ‡ ๐Ÿฅ‡ ๐Ÿฅ‡ Not only did the Bears compete with great enthusiasm but their behaviour whilst watching the other children take part was exemplary ๐Ÿคฉ
