šŸ’™ World Mental Health Day | 10 October

Your mental health matters. Every day.

World Mental Health Day is a reminder that looking after our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health.

Sometimes weā€™re doing well, and sometimes things feel a little harder. Itā€™s okay to talk, itā€™s okay to ask for help, and you donā€™t have to deal with things alone.

Take a moment today to:
šŸ’™ Check in with yourself
šŸ’› Check in with someone you care about
šŸ’š Make time for something that helps you feel good
šŸ’™ Talk to someone if things are feeling difficult

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available:

* Young people: Childline ā€“ 0800 1111ā ļæ¼ ā€” free, confidential support for anyone under 19, available 24/7.
* Young people: YoungMindsā ļæ¼ ā€” information and support around young peopleā€™s mental health.
* Anyone: Samaritans ā€“ 116 123ā ļæ¼ ā€” free, confidential emotional support, 24/7.
* Urgent mental health support: NHS 111ā ļæ¼ ā€” call 111 and select the mental health option for urgent advice and support.
* Parents/carers: YoungMinds Parents Helplineā ļæ¼ ā€” support and advice if youā€™re concerned about a childā€™s or young personā€™s mental health.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999.

You are not alone. Talking can be the first step. šŸ’™
