Haven’t posted for a while but really wanted to share one of the best activities we do… the life cycle of a butterfly.

The children become engrossed with watching the caterpillars become chrysalis and the beautiful butterflies. They are then so excited when with release them and watch them fly away 🦋🦋

This week we had a fantastic opportunity to attend a free session at a forest school.
The children had an amazing time and really enjoyed exploring all the different areas.

They were able to play musical instruments, make potions and pancake mixture, plant flowers in flower beds, build walls and climb a big climbing wall and lots more.

It was a great morning and the children learnt lots said new skills. I think we will definitely visit again!!!

Happy Valentines Day!

Here’s some crafts we have made over the last few weeks.
There are a couple of pictures from before Christmas which are so lovely I had to share them, these were taken home and the children were so proud to show them to their parents.

Since starting back after Christmas we have looked at arctic animals….made polar bear masks using lots of cotton wool and snowy owls using white paint and a fork.

We have tasted exotic fruit which the children all took part in, some fruits were lovely and the children enjoyed them others weren’t so nice and their reactions were priceless!!!! 😂

We have also celebrated Chinese new year. We have tasted various Chinese food again some were very tasty and others the children didn’t enjoy as much!

We also made spiral snakes to take home. We painted these red and then painted bubble wrap yellow to make the snakes scales. It was great to see the children’s reaction when the bubble wrap was removed.

We also played with red and yellow coloured rice, the children enjoyed filling the Chinese bowls and topping it out.

We’ve ended the month by getting a brand new play table. The children loved it!!!!
It had 2 play mats a dinosaur one and a sea life one with lots of sea animals, dinosaurs and play sand…..it was a real hit and I’m sure it’ll will be played with alot!

Thank you for your continued support throughout the year.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, I’m looking forward to spending time with my own family and enjoying some lazy days!!

Tommy and Trixie-Belle have been busy during their last week.
They started the week just hanging around, before having a game of uno on Tuesday morning.
Wednesday morning I found them raiding our Christmas chocolates!
Today they were off back to the North Pole to help Santa pack his sleigh 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻

Our little elves antics from last week.
At the beginning of the week they were very busy playing hide and seek and hanging out with their penguin friend. By the end of the week Tommy was feeling a little poorly and Trixie-Belle was taking very good care of him.

Wonder if he’ll be feeling better for tomorrow….our final week with them this year!
