UKFT are setting out to extinguish fire safety myths 🧯💨

When it comes to fire safety training, practical experience matters. A teams call won't suffice ❌

At UK Fire Training, every course includes a hands-on practical experience, helping your team to feel confident when it matters most.

How would your team respond in the event of a fire?

If you're unsure, it's time for some hands-on experience 🧯

The colder weather is here, which means so is the return of portable heaters 🔥

In 2024/25, there were 1,188 portable heater-related fires recorded in the UK!

Portable heaters are great for workplaces, if they’re used correctly and safely…

If your workplace uses portable heaters, share this reminder with your team:

✅ Always turn them off before leaving the office
✅ Never cover them with clothing, bags, or anything else
✅ Keep a clear space around them at all times
✅ Ensure they are in good working order

Ensure your team know how to respond safely in an emergency with our Fire Awareness Training course ‼️

Throwback to a brilliant training session with the team at Southampton FC at St Mary's Stadium.

What a proud moment for our managing director, Jon Hughes!

Fire safety training isn't just about ticking a compliance box. It's about giving people the confidence and skills to respond when it matters most.

UKFT are setting out to extinguish fire safety myths 🧯❌

Fire safety training is not a one-off activity.

Organisations evolve, new team members join, and site layouts are updated. So new risks emerge ‼️

When that happens, your fire training is tailored to a business that no longer exists.

Whilst it is best practice to renew your certificates every 3 years, annual refresher training ensures knowledge is current and remains relevant.

We can help them with that...

Your fire marshals may know the theory, but have they ever stood in front of a live flame?

We've trained 110,000+ delegates since 2004. Every one of them having left better prepared than when they arrived.

UKFT are setting out to extinguish fire safety myths 🧯❌

Using water on an electrical fire risks electrocution. Using water on a fat fire causes burning oil to explode.

We see it too often, people panic and reach for the nearest extinguisher without checking what's burning, and in that moment, the wrong choice can be lethal.

Knowing which extinguisher to use is not common sense. It's training.

Are you confident your team would make the right call under pressure?
