Rutleigh Norris School of Dance

Established in 1959, Rutleigh Norris School of Dance provides high quality dance training in South Birmingham & Warwickshire.

Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teachers guide our students in Graded and Vocational classes that are accompanied by pianists. At RNSD we specialise in the prestigious and internationally recognised Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet Syllabi as we feel this gives the best underpinning for your child’s future, be that in dance or otherwise. We also offer classes in Modern Jazz and Tap Dance

as we believe that a combination of the three results in a well-rounded dancer. Throughout the three well-established branches of the school (we have multiple venues in Moseley, Bournville and Alcester), we hold classes from Tiny Ballet to the mature adult dancer. All our classes are taught by professional teachers who hold the Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher Status as well as qualifications from other well respected dance bodies. Our teaching staff are passionate about dance whilst maintaining a standard of excellence and we strive to pass this ethos on to our students through an enjoyable, supported and safe learning experience.

💛 📖 Today marks a very special day in the Rutleigh Norris history book.. Agnes took to the stage at RAD HQ, London to take the highest exam that the Royal Academy of Dance has offer: the Solo Seal Award. 🩰

Agnes achieved the high entry requirement by passing Advanced 2 with Distinction, and since accepting our challenge to work towards the Solo Seal examination, has worked diligently, patiently and always with maximum effort; Miss Geraldine and Miss Rosie have both thoroughly enjoyed coaching Agnes throughout this process 🌟
This afternoon, Agnes danced four beautiful solo variations to a packed auditorium of RAD teachers and examiners, as well as the two all-important Judges. She is the first ever candidate from RNSD and we couldn’t be prouder of her performance. 💛💛💛

❤️ The Adeline Genée Port de Bras is the first of four pieces shown in a Solo Seal Award which is the highest level of exam that the Royal Academy of Dance offers. Gentle, effortless and understated, this beautiful port de bras was introduced into the Solo Seal Award in 1979. ❤️
