Today we say a heartfelt farewell to an incredible leader, colleague and friend as our CEO, Mr Ward begins a very well-deserved retirement.

After an outstanding 34 years dedicated to education in Redditch, he leaves behind a legacy that will be felt for generations. Through his leadership, passion and unwavering commitment to young people, he has helped shape not only Bordesley Multi Academy Trust, but the wider Redditch community. Countless pupils, families and colleagues have benefited from his vision, support and determination to make a difference.

Beyond education, many of us know him for his love of golf, classic cars, and his passion for beekeeping—always bringing the same patience, care and attention to detail to his hobbies as he has throughout his career.

As he and his wife begin this exciting new chapter together, we wish them every happiness, good health and many wonderful adventures. May retirement bring plenty of time for the golf course, the garage, the apiary, and making memories with family and friends.

Thank you for 34 years of dedication, leadership and service to the children, families and schools of Redditch. Your impact has been immeasurable, and your legacy will continue long after your final day.

Congratulations on your retirement—you’ve more than earned it. 💙

Today we hosted our SCITT Celebration Lunch to recognise the hard work, dedication and resilience of our trainee teachers as they complete their training year and gain QTS! It has been a privilege to watch them grow in confidence, develop their practice and make a real difference to the pupils they have taught. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. As they begin their careers as qualified teachers, we wish them every success for the future. The profession is gaining a fantastic group of teachers, and we can't wait to see the impact they will have in their own classrooms and school communities. Congratulations to you all – and good luck for September! 🍎 Bishop Challoner Training School
