Our Preschool children noticed that our herb garden had grown significantly, thanks to the recent rainy spell. The team explained that we needed to trim the plants to encourage new growth. The children helped to cut the longer stems, and we suggested that we could use them to create some art work.
The team provided the necessary tools and observed the children as they learnt how to splat, crush, smear, mix, and brush the natural paint to create their green and very smelly masterpieces! 🌿

The children in Toddler Room were very curious as to why the grass in our outdoor learning environment was suddenly green again! The team took the opportunity to teach them about what plants need to thrive, and then trimmed some of the longer grass for the children to take a closer look at. They were able to explore the texture, colour, and scent through an invitation to play with dough. 💚

We have had cause for a double celebration at Partou Alexandra…Christina and Ellie have not only qualified as Level 3 Early Years Educators, but have both been awarded the highest grade they could achieve.
They have worked so hard to achieve Distinctions, alongside excelling in their roles at the nursery. Ellie and Christina are shining examples of our values; care, compassion and continuous learning.
We are all incredibly proud of them, and can’t wait to see how they continue to flourish as qualified educators. ✨

We had a very exciting visit from our local police officers today. Our children have taken an interest in ‘jail’! We took the opportunity to expand upon this interest in a positive way, by reaching out and teaching them all about the ways that that the police help us and keep us safe.
We were able to look inside the police van, see the lights, hear the sirens, and learn all about police vehicles and dogs! The children even got to try on hats, and received certificates for being ‘Junior Police Officers’ 🚓

From pot to plate! Our children dug up our new potatoes this week, and have enjoyed them alongside some of our meals. The heat has certainly made it tricky to grow our own this year, but we are very pleased that the children have still had a tasty reward for their gardening efforts.🌿
