This week we are thinking about sharing stories! 2026 is the National Year of Reading and this Thursday is World Book Day!

This year is Redditch Library's 50th Birthday, and in honour of our special birthday, this World Book Day we are celebrating some of the best childrens books that are as old as we are! Some classic childrens stories were first published in the late 1960's and early 1970's that are still much loved today.

On Thursday 5th March we are running a free storytime and craft session, with Elmer, the Very Hungry Caterpillar, and the Tiger Who Came To Tea. The session runs from 3.30-4.30 pm in the junior library, and you do not need to book.

Dear Parents and Carers,

As a charity-run Pre-school, we rely on fundraising and the kindness of our community to help us provide the best possible experiences for the children.

We have created an Amazon Wish List with items that support our learning environment, such as books, craft resources, role-play items, and outdoor equipment. These are things that are regularly used by the children and help us enrich their day-to-day learning.

If you would like to support the Pre-school and are in a position to do so, you are very welcome to take a look at the wish list. Any contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated, but please do not feel any obligation – your continued support of the Pre-school is always valued.

We are thrilled to share news of another amazing revamp, made possible entirely by external fundraising! This time, we extend a huge thank you to Tesco for their generous donation.

Our Home Corner has always been an incredibly busy and popular area at Pre-school, and the children are absolutely loving the new additions!

Thanks to this funding, we've installed a beautiful new wooden kitchen and wooden shop, fully stocked with a variety of wooden food, plates, pots, and pans. The set is complete with a pushchair, highchair, crib, sofa and new rug ensuring endless opportunities for creative role play.

The children are most certainly enjoying the quality and detail of the new resources!
