Hepatitis C is a virus that can infect the liver. If left untreated, it can sometimes cause serious and potentially life-threatening damage to the liver over many years. As highlighted by the BBC today, there are hundreds of people living with this disease that have been undetected.
We are proud to have been working with the The Hepatitis C Trust in the Birmingham and West Midlands area. They do an outstanding job. Should you have any questions or feel you require their services or support, please do contact them directly or let us know and we will put you in contact with someone that can help.
About 1,750 people are unaware they got the virus from blood transfusions in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
