The rain doesn’t stop us going out. This morning we planned for Cubs to go out to Kirkleatham for a picnic. Instead we have come out for walk in our local area.

We have been on an adventure to Locke Park, where we had loads of fun playing in the park on the swings, train, and bouncy seats! We had a little picnic and saw lots of squirrels.
We walked around the pond and seen lots of ducks and swans swimming and some came up to see us. We sang ‘Five little ducks’ and some of us are brilliant at saying “quack, quack”. It was lovely to be out in the Autumn sun.
We are planning to have lots more trips out in our limousine pushchair. Please could we ask that you always provide a coat and shoes (if they have some) as some trips may be spontaneous.

Today was a wonderful morning at Kirkleatham! We visited the owl centre and saw so many animals. The children were particularly excited about the chickens wandering around us. They adored the owls and enjoyed searching for them in their habitat. We had fun mimicking animal sounds and even pretended to be meerkats! After that, we headed into the woods to gather sticks and leaves, working together as a team. We wrapped up our adventure with a parachute song. It truly was a fantastic time!
