We had plenty to celebrate today as the Class of 2026 open their their much anticipated GCSE results. 🤩

Headline figures saw 75% of students achieve a Grade 4 or above in both English and maths, with 55% awarded a Grade 5 or above. Although many students performed very well, there were some outstanding individual results with Phoebe W achieving an incredible nine Grade 9s - the top award available at GCSE. Amelia J opened her envelope to see seven Grade 9s and Houzaifa A and Lainey G were awarded five Grade 9s each. These exceptional results reflect the students' hard work, commitment and dedication to their studies.🌟

Speaking of her delight at the students' achievements, Headteacher, Loiuse Jones said:

"We were delighted to welcome students back into school to collect their results and share in this special moment today. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces, hear the excitement in the hall, and watch the hard work, determination and resilience of our students pay off.

These results are a reflection of the commitment our students have shown throughout their studies, overcoming challenges and striving to be their very best. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and the dedication they have demonstrated along the way.

A huge thank you also goes to our staff, families and wider school community for the support and encouragement they have provided throughout our students' journeys. Congratulations to all of our students. We wish you every success as you take your next steps and look forward to seeing all that you achieve in the future."

Our Colour Run was a fun and memorable way to finish the term, with pupils coming together to celebrate the end of the year in a vibrant, inclusive event. The atmosphere was electric, with lots of encouragement and smiles as students took part or cheered on their peers. The Colour Run supported wellbeing, school community spirit and positive engagement, and it was great to see pupils taking part in a safe and respectful way. Thank you to everyone who helped organise, supervise and support the event.🤩

Our final Celebration Station of the year didn't disappoint! Many students took to the stage to receive recognition for a range of brilliant reasons!⭐

Throughout the year there has been thousands of nominations made by staff for our Celebration Station and student recognition has been phenomenal with over 671,000 points awarded! We are very proud of you all and can't wait to see what you achieve next year! Have a lovely summer everyone.☀️😎

A huge congratulations to Resolution House, who are this summer's House Champions! 🤩

After an incredible term of teamwork, determination and house spirit, our winning house enjoyed a well-deserved celebration as part of their fantastic house prize reward. This included inflatables, a fabulous DJ and an ice cold treat!

From laughter and fun with friends, to making memories together, it was a brilliant way to recognise all of their hard work and commitment throughout the year.

Well done to every member of Resolution House for showing what can be achieved through resilience, positivity and teamwork. 🌟

Last week our Year 9 students took part in a workshop hosted by Balfour Beatty, Technip and Costain. The assignment was to plan and build a power plant that could power a million homes in the Teesside area. Students were tasked with weighing up the advantages and disadvantages of harnessing various energy sources but also sticking to a budget, whilst dealing with shifting political motives. All within one morning!

One exceptional team stood out when they managed to convince the panel of judges that going over budget on their project was the right thing to do as it would be more environmentally friendly and actually save money in the long run.

We're enjoying a fantastic run of rewards here at Rye Hills!🎉

Before and after England’s fantastic win, the celebrations kept rolling in school as we have enjoyed multiple events recognising our amazing pupils! 👏 Excellent Eights🏆 Tremendous Tens ⭐ Noteworthy Nines.

And right in the middle of it all, our Celebration Station was packed with excitement, smiles, and well-deserved rewards! From outstanding effort and attendance, to kindness, resilience and achievement, it was wonderful to see so many students celebrated for making a positive difference every day.

A huge congratulations to all our award winners. You have certainly given us plenty to cheer about! 👏

Our final Headteacher’s Awards of the academic year! 🤩

Since September, an incredible 155 students from across all year groups have received a Headteacher’s Award. It has been wonderful to celebrate so many young people and see their smiles as they are recognised for a wide range of achievements and contributions to school life. This week, we congratulate our students in Years 7–10 for their outstanding attendance, positive attitude, fantastic smiles and for being true all-rounders.

A fantastic end to the week for our Year 9 Mixed Touch Rugby team! 🏉

Last week the team delivered an outstanding performance at the T1 regional finals, enjoying a dominant morning session and remaining unbeaten throughout their group matches. Their excellent teamwork, skill and game management secured a place in the championship group for the afternoon.

Facing tougher opposition in the final stages of the competition, the team showed tremendous resilience, determination and work ethic. Despite some closely contested matches, they ultimately finished in an impressive 3rd place.

This achievement is a real testament to the talent, tenacity and teamwork displayed by every player throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school. Well done, everyone! 👏🏉🥉
