What an incredible start to the new school year! In just a three-day week, our students have already earned an amazing 2,983 house points. 🌟

A huge well done to everyone for demonstrating such a positive attitude and getting off to such a strong start.

**Year 9 Geography Trip – High Force & Low Force 🌍**

We are pleased to offer Year 9 students the opportunity to take part in a Geography fieldwork visit to High Force and Low Force on Friday 2 October.

Students will walk approximately 7km along the Pennine Way, exploring river landscapes and bringing their Geography learning to life in the field.

A letter with full details has gone out today. Places are limited and will be allocated with consideration given to students’ diligence, behaviour and attendance.

📩 Please check the letter carefully and return expressions of interest to Mr Cosgrave by 7 September.

**What a lovely start to Year 7! 💙**

Our newest students are settling in brilliantly on their very first day at Sacred Heart, getting to know their new surroundings, making new friends and enjoying lunchtime together.

A huge thank you to our fantastic Year 11 students, who have been looking after Year 7 at lunch and helping them feel welcome, supported and part of our school community from day one. 👏

We are so proud of the way our older students are leading by example and helping our Year 7s begin their secondary school journey with confidence.

🌟 Welcome Back Sacred Heart! 🌟

It is wonderful to welcome all of our students back to school today and to see everyone looking so smart, ready and prepared for the year ahead.

A particularly warm welcome goes to our new Year 7 students, who joined the Sacred Heart family for the very first time today. We hope you already feel at home and are excited for everything that lies ahead. 💙

Our whole-school welcome assembly and Celebration of the Word gave us the opportunity to come together as one community and reflect on our theme:

🌳 Rooted in Faith, Growing in Hope 🌳

We are incredibly proud of the positive start our students have made already. There is a fantastic atmosphere around school, and it is lovely to see so many smiling faces, friendships being reunited and new ones beginning.

**ParentPay Update – Year 7**

We would like to reassure Year 7 parents and guardians that access to ParentPay will be available in the coming days, allowing you to add funds to your child’s account.

In the meantime, Year 7 students will continue to be provided with food in school as normal. Any food purchased will be recorded and the cost will be deducted once funds have been added to their ParentPay account.

Thank you for your patience and continued support while access is being set up.

💙 Welcome Back! 💙

We’re looking forward to welcoming all of our students back to school on Wednesday 2nd September 2026.

A few important reminders for the first day:

📱 Timetables are not available to view on Arbor, until 1st September.

🎾 Year 7: Please head straight to the tennis courts and line up in your tutor groups. Your tutor will then take you into school.

🏫 Years 8–11: Signs will be placed near the pupil entrance, organised by year group and alphabetical order. Staff will also be available to help direct you to your form room.

👕 PE reminder: If you have PE on your timetable on Wednesday, you do not need to bring your PE kit.

We hope everyone has had a lovely summer break and we can’t wait to see you all again for the start of another fantastic year at Sacred Heart! 💙
