Happy 18th Megan!!

Our Tracey, Roxie, Fantine and soon to be Grizabella! You’ve taken on some iconic roles over the years- let’s just not mention Michael Jackson 😂

I’ve known you all of Skye’s life but also know you have been a lifelong member of Tayt and RDS and that dedication to a hobby should absolutely be recognised.

Hope you have the best day celebrating! We love you at Tayt and hope to keep you in troupes till you’re at least 25!! 😂😍 Dawn Stevenson Goodall

I may have just missed World Teachers Day but still felt I should give our fabulous teachers a shout out!!

We are so lucky to have six amazing teachers with such a wealth of industry experience and qualifications between them.

I believe there are many things that make a good dance teacher and at Tayt we value our teachers for the range of experiences they bring. From their training at various dance colleges to their teaching qualifications to their professional credits- all have something special to offer and we are lucky to have them.

Between them all, our teachers have achieved so much- including:

💃🏼 International tour lead roles
💃🏼 1st class honours degree in dance
💃🏼 Cruise ship contracts with P and O, MSC, Louis cruises and Bahamas Paradise
💃🏼 high level teacher qualifications with ISTD, BATD, ABD
💃🏼 PGCE in PCET dance specialism
💃🏼 training at top dance colleges including Masters, SLP, Asociated Studios, Phil Winston’s

Tayt teachers- we love you!!!😍

Sometimes the moments backstage are the ones you remember the most! ✨

Looking out for each other, having fun with your friends, sharing nerves & excitement, hair spraying your feet (iykyk!!) and naturally getting told to ‘sssshhh’ multiple times! ❤️

It’s all part of what makes a dance show to special! Another shout out to our Comp Showcase who really do have such a special bond & a big thank you to the helpers who make it all happen so seamlessly! 👗

Why do I teach??

Honestly, some days I don’t have a clue. Some days are hard, running a dance school requires so many hats some of which are so far beyond simply ‘teaching dance’ that it can be hard to remember why I chose this career path.

However, moments like this make it crystal clear. Not a trophy or an exam result in sight. Just a girl- growing in confidence and self belief owning the stage and making everyone proud.

Helping to give the next generation skills which will take them through life and passing on the joy of dance!

That’s the why right there… 🥲🥲
