I saw this today and felt it summed things up perfectly. I thought it was worth sharing;

Dear Year 6 parents,
As this final week of primary school arrives, take a moment to pause and soak it all in.
Think back to that very first school morning, when they looked so tiny in a uniform that seemed far too big. Remember the nervous smiles, the reassuring hugs, and the little hand that reached for yours as you walked through the school gates.
Since then, there have been sports days, school plays, assemblies, friendships, certificates proudly brought home, artwork stuck to the fridge, lost jumpers, packed lunches, and countless stories about their day. Somehow, those years that once felt so long have passed in the blink of an eye.
If you can, walk them to school one last time. Hold onto that hand for a little longer, take a few extra photos, and let yourself feel every emotion that comes with this milestone.
It’s perfectly okay to feel proud, excited, nostalgic, and even a little sad all at once.
Primary school may be coming to an end, but it has given them the confidence, friendships, memories, and foundations they’ll carry with them forever. And now, they’re ready for the next chapter.
You have loved them, encouraged them, picked them up after hard days, celebrated their achievements, and helped them become the amazing young person they are today.
Be proud of them.
But also be proud of yourself.
You got them this far.

The next adventure is waiting.

Have a wonderful summer

We're excited to be approaching our final OPAL audit this term and working towards achieving our OPAL accreditation!

To help replenish our play resources, we've launched another OPAL Bingo Challenge. Please take a look at the attached Bingo sheet for items we are collecting. Any donations, big or small, would be hugely appreciated and will help us continue to provide exciting play opportunities for our children.

Please feel free to share with family and friends who may be able to help. Donations can be brought into school at any time.

Please support one of our fantastic school dads as he takes on a fundraising challenge to help raise money for new playground equipment for our children.

Every donation, big or small, will make a difference and help us continue to improve our outdoor play opportunities.

Thank you for your support and good luck from everyone at The Pines! 🌟

Martyn, a dad at the school is going to cycle 25 miles a day for 7 days starting 22nd June in aid of buying playground equipment for the Reception Class. The company he works for, Johnson Matthey have said they’ll double what he raises up to £1k! So, any sponsor big or small is very much appreciated. Thank You 💚

💚Year 2 had a wonderful day at Wandlebury last week. The children took part in a bug hunt🐛, meadow sweeping, pond dipping and a wildflower 🌺hunt where they made a bookmark. They found lots of really interesting creatures and the children showed off their six c’s throughout the day identifying the different creatures and answering questions. We would also like to say a big thank you to the staff at Wandlebury for such a fantastic learning experience.
