🌟 Meet Danielle 🌟

Danielle’s love of horses started from a very young age, beginning riding at just four years old after growing up around her mum’s two horses. At 12, she bought her first New Forest pony, who remained by her side for an incredible 23 years.

After working at two different yards, Danielle took a different path and spent three years working in palliative care nursing, before eventually finding her way back to the equestrian world.

Danielle now has her own ex-racehorse, who has been kept at Hall Place for the past four years. Her love of horses has also passed down to the next generation — her daughter got her first pony at four years old and, six years later, they are still together and now based at Hall Place too.

Looking to the future, Danielle hopes to develop further within Hall Place, progressing into education and teaching as she begins a new chapter and career in the equestrian world.

We’re excited to have Danielle as part of the Hall Place team and to see where this next chapter takes her. 💙🐴

✨ Paris — 15.3hh 4yo ISH, Competition Mare ✨

Paris is a lovely 4-year-old mare, born May 2022, by Island Commander, out of Glensensaw Lakeshore Princess.

Paris has been backed, produced and carefully educated by us here at Hall Place Equestrian Centre and is now looking for her next home to continue her education and development.

She is a very talented young mare with a bright future ahead of her. Paris has three lovely paces, is naturally bold to a fence and has plenty of scope to progress. She is intelligent, learns quickly and has a really good brain.

She has already competed in dressage at home and been in the placings, as well as going out jump schooling twice, where she has taken everything in her stride.

Paris hacks both in front or behind, is good with traffic and is good to load and travel. She is well behaved for the farrier and general handling and is a very sweet mare on the ground, as well as being lovely to work with ridden.

As you would expect from a talented 4-year-old, Paris can be forward-thinking at times, so she is not a novice ride. She needs a knowledgeable, confident home who understands young horses and will continue her education with consistency.

We really feel Paris has the talent, attitude and scope to make someone a lovely competition horse and she has a very exciting future ahead of her. ❤️

Halloween Show Jumping is coming to Hall Place!

Join us on Friday 30th October for a full day of Halloween-themed jumping, with classes from mini cross poles through to 80–90cm, plus Pumpkin Patch Pairs and Chase Me Chuckie.

And because it wouldn’t be Halloween without fancy dress… riders and horses are encouraged to dress up, with a prize for the best costume!

- Horse hire available (limited)
- First class starts at 9:30am

🌟 Meet Sharon 🌟

Sharon is part of our Education & Events team here at Hall Place, having officially joined the office in 2023 — although her connection to Hall Place goes back much further than that! Horses have always been a huge part of Sharon’s life, with her mum passing on her love for them from an early age. She learnt to ride here at Hall Place as a child and has also had horses on livery with us over the years, so Hall Place has been part of her life for as long as she can remember.

Before joining the team, Sharon spent an incredible 17 years working in pharmacy, before eventually finding her way back to the equestrian world.

A particularly important part of Sharon’s role is her involvement with our education programmes, including Changing Lives Through Horses (CLTH). Having completed her CLTH training, she is passionate about supporting young people who may not thrive within mainstream education.

Sharon also enjoys being involved in our events and has especially fond memories of Hall Place’s cross-country and one-day events. Looking to the future, she would love to see an even greater variety of competitions alongside our current events, including show jumping and residential camps.

After watching Hall Place develop over the years, Sharon is incredibly proud to have played a part in its progress and changes, and she’s excited to continue being part of what comes next.

Her favourite thing about Hall Place? “We are all one big family.” And when it comes to horses, Sharon sums it up perfectly: “A horse can fix a bad day in an instant.”

October Half Term Pony Days are back!

Looking for something a little different this half term? Spend the day at Hall Place with our horses and ponies!

Our Pony Days are a full day of riding, pony care, learning and plenty of hands-on time on the yard — perfect for young riders who want to spend their school holiday doing what they love.

Summer may be over, but Hall Place is busy all year round!

After a brilliant summer filled with Pony Days and Summer Camps, we’re now welcoming back our Changing Lives Through Horses (CLTH) programme for another term.

Our alternative education programme gives young people the opportunity to learn outside the traditional classroom, developing confidence, communication, responsibility and practical skills through working with horses.

Here’s to a new term of learning, growing and plenty of time with the horses.

🌟 Meet Jade 🌟

Jade is one of our Riding Instructors here at Hall Place, and horses have quite literally been part of her life from the beginning. Growing up at the riding school owned by her mum, the equestrian world has always felt like home.

Her experience later took her into the racing industry, where she worked as a Travelling Head Girl, travelling with racehorses and saddling up many winners. One particularly special chapter of her career even saw her exercising horses for Queen Elizabeth II during visits to the racing yard. 👑🐎

Away from Hall Place, Jade competes in show jumping with her partially sighted ex-racehorse, and the pair recently achieved an incredible 2nd place at the British Showjumping National Championships. 🥈

Their journey isn't stopping there — Jade is also heading to Aintree to compete at the Retraining of Racehorses National Championships, continuing to show just how much talent and potential ex-racehorses can have beyond the track.

At Hall Place, Jade particularly enjoys teaching show jumping, sharing her experience with riders and helping them develop their confidence and ability. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue developing professionally and qualify as a British Showjumping Coach.

We’re very lucky to have Jade and all that experience as part of the Hall Place team. 💙🐴

It’s National Racehorse Week 🏇💙

Did you know we have a few former racehorses here at Hall Place?
Topic, Doughnut, abd Cheerio all started their careers on the racetrack and are now part of our riding school, teaching our riders week after week. 🐴

They’ve swapped racing for lessons, jumping and plenty of attention from our clients — and we wouldn’t have them any other way!

A little appreciation for our ex-racers this National Racehorse Week. 💙

Meet Our Sponsored Rider – Lyla 🐴

We're proud to introduce Lyla, one of Hall Place Equestrian Centre's sponsored riders!

Lyla has been riding with us since she was just 4 years old, working her way through the riding school levels before eventually taking over the reins of Matty, who joined the family in 2017.

Today, Lyla regularly competes in unaffiliated showjumping with Matty and continues to develop their partnership together. At 22 years old, Matty is still proving that age is just a number and remains a brilliant competition pony! 🐴

She's also a valued member of our team, helping to school new ponies as they join the riding school, regularly helping on Saturdays and riding our school horses to a consistently high standard in Jump Club.

This September, Lyla and Matty will be representing Hall Place at the Newbury Show, alongside our sponsored rider Laurie. ✨

We're incredibly proud to support Lyla and to have watched her journey from one of our youngest riders to the rider she is today. 💙🐴

🌟 Meet Clare! 🌟

Clare is our Instructor Coordinator and Senior Instructor/Groom, holding BHS Stages 1, 2 & 3 and Stage 3 Coach qualifications. 🐴

Horses have been a huge part of Clare’s life since she was just nine years old. Before becoming a full-time instructor, she worked as a nanny! So it’s no surprise that she particularly loves teaching children and helping younger riders build their confidence and skills. 💙

When she’s not teaching at Hall Place, you’ll find Clare spending time with her own horse, JJ!

We’re very lucky to have Clare helping coordinate our instructors and supporting the next generation of riders here at Hall Place. 🤍
