🎉 WOKINGHAM – WE'RE COMING BACK! 🎉

Our recent Wokingham workshops sold out so quickly that the waiting list was getting a little bit out of hand... so we've added another full weekend this September!

We're also excited to be trialling our very first Open to All DIY 1 session on Saturday afternoon. If you've wanted to bring along your partner, friend, mum, dad, son or daughter (12+ with an accompanying adult), this is your chance.

Sunday will remain dedicated to our women-only workshops, with both DIY 1 and Home Maintenance running as usual.

📍 St Sebastian's Memorial Hall, Wokingham
📅 12–13 September

Places are limited and Wokingham has a habit of filling up quickly, so don't hang about! Link to book: https://forms.gle/rfzAASc2PCn4Hq9g9

What actually happens in a DIY One workshop?
It’s a question we’re asked a lot - so we thought we’d show you.

No experience needed. No pressure. No such thing as a silly question.

Just tea, biscuits, practical skills, plenty of support..and a room full of people discovering they’re far more capable than they thought.

If you’ve been thinking about booking but weren’t quite sure what to expect, this one’s for you. 💛🛠️

(There may also be a couple of new dates dropping tomorrow 👀)

Have questions? Pop them in the comments and we’ll be happy to help ⭐️

🐝🐝🐝

Yesterday, we showed you the pack-down.

Today, here’s the other side of the story.

What looks like a few hours of DIY confidence-building starts long before the first participant arrives. Tools unloaded. Workstations set up. Materials organised. Tea sorted. Last-minute checks. Then we open the doors.

This was just a taster session, but the behind-the-scenes effort is always the same.

Set to Flight of the Bumblebee because it felt like the most accurate soundtrack for the organised chaos that happens before every workshop.

And yes, by the time everyone arrives, we’ve usually done a workout already.

We’ve wanted to do a van-packing time-lapse for ages, and after a brilliant day in Henley it seemed like the perfect opportunity.

A huge thank you to for hosting us and making everything so easy. We had a fantastic group today — loads of questions, plenty of curiosity, lots of confidence to have a go, and even inspiration for a brand-new workshop idea.💡

By the time everyone heads home, there’s still the small matter of turning a room full of tools, workbenches and materials back into a van that somehow all fits together like a giant game of Tetris.

Goodnight, Henley. Thanks for having us. ❤️

🚨 ONLY 1 SPACE LEFT 🚨

We're really excited to be introducing **Woodwork for Beginners** to the Nail It timetable — and there is now just **one place remaining** on this small-group soft launch session.

This workshop is designed for complete beginners and will cover some of the core skills that form the foundation of woodworking, including measuring, marking, cutting and working safely with wood in a friendly, supportive environment.

Because this is a soft launch, numbers are deliberately being kept small. We want the opportunity to test, refine and shape the workshop before it officially joins our regular programme — so your feedback will genuinely help influence what comes next.

We're also delighted to be bringing **Mat & Libby** into the Nail It team. Their enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for making practical skills accessible to beginners has made them a brilliant fit for what we're building 💛

If you've ever fancied giving woodworking a go but didn't know where to start, this is your chance.

And if you miss out this time, don't worry — we'll be adding woodworking workshops to our timetable very soon.

Nail It DIY Seeks New Venues for Women’s Workshops • Round & About Magazine 27/05/2026

A really lovely little feature from Round & About this week about Nail It DIY CIC 💛

When Sarah first started helping me tackle DIY jobs at home, I don’t think either of us imagined it would grow into fully booked workshops, ITV cameras, BBC Radio Berkshire interviews, women travelling across counties to attend sessions… and now new tiling and carpentry workshops about to launch, schools enquiries and community partnerships too.

The thing I keep coming back to though is the atmosphere in sessions.

Women sometimes walk in nervous to even pick up a drill, then a couple of hours later they’re drilling into walls, changing fittings, helping each other, laughing, asking loads of questions and realising they’re actually far more capable than they thought.💪🏼

That’s probably my favourite bit of all of this.

Huge thank you to everybody who’s supported us so far — whether you’ve attended a workshop, shared a post, recommended us, brought a friend along or simply cheered us on from the sidelines. We’re still building and figuring things out as we go, but it really does feel like something special is growing 💛

Nail It DIY Seeks New Venues for Women’s Workshops • Round & About Magazine Nail It DIY is looking for new venues across Berkshire and surrounding areas to expand its women’s hands-on DIY workshops.

We’re really excited to officially begin testing two brand new Nail It workshops with our community — Intro to Woodwork and Tiling for Beginners 💛

These very small-group soft launch sessions have been designed for women who want to build practical DIY confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment, with absolutely no experience needed.

Our Nail It members group received first access to these sessions at an exclusive early tester rate, and the response has been amazing — tiling fully booked almost immediately, with just ONE space remaining on each woodwork date.

(If you’ve trained with us before but aren’t yet in the members group, DM us and we’ll send you the link - please quote workshop date attended & booking name 💛)

🪵 INTRO TO WOODWORK
A practical introduction to beginner woodworking and core carpentry skills. We’ll cover things like measuring and marking, angles, cuts, joints, tool handling, workshop confidence, and getting comfortable working with wood in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Perfect if you’ve always fancied giving woodworking a go but didn’t know where to start.

⬜️ BASIC TILING
A beginner-friendly introduction to tiling, including tools, materials, layouts, spacing, and hands-on practice using tiling equipment and techniques.

Ideal if you’d love to tackle small home projects yourself but want to learn the basics properly first.

These sessions are helping us shape future Nail It workshops, so feedback from attendees will directly influence how these courses develop going forwards.

Once officially launched later this year, both tiling and woodworking will become part of our wider Nail It workshop timetable alongside our existing DIY and Home Maintenance sessions.

Current availability update 👀

Some sessions are now SOLD OUT, with others down to their final few spaces 💪🏼
If a session is full, it's still worth joining the waitlist - we do occasionally have cancellations and swapsies. 😆

We know not every venue will be right on everyone's doorstep, but accessible DIY training for women is still pretty rare outside major cities, so we're excited to be bringing these workshops to local community spaces across the area 🙌🏼
