Look at our awesome new parachute shelter!
As you may know our willow needed to be pollarded, so we needed a new shade and shelter solution for our story circle! Today we had our new parachute shelter installed by Just Grow Forest School Limited. We are so looking forward to testing it out tomorrow!
Also just to say our beautiful willow already has lots of new shoots so should be back to looking its best again soon! 🤞🏻💕🌳

Look how beautiful the meadow is looking at the moment; we as so lucky to be able to have adventures in such amazing surroundings!
We had a great adventure around the lake this morning!
The weather is definitely trying to catch us out today! Do we need sun hats? Do we need raincoats? Who can tell!
Whatever the weather you’ll find us outside having fun! Today we especially enjoyed the extra messy sandpit and dancing with our tambourines in the rain!

Small world play outdoors.
We used our stone butterflies and added leaves and flower petals for the children to explore. There was lots of talk about the colours of the butterflies and the flowers as the children flew the butterflies from petal to petal. 🦋🦋🦋

“But what if it rains?” 🌧️
As an outdoor setting this is a question we hear a lot; “do you still go out when it’s raining?” “But what if it’s raining really hard?”
The answer is always the same; we go out whatever the weather. The children are dressed appropriately to ensure they are dry, warm and comfortable.
This morning we had a blast playing in the rain, and as one of the children said “the plants need some rain!”

Look at the beautiful butterflies we have been making this week! We folded the paper and made a pattern; some of us remembered the word symmetrical, as we talked about yesterday!
We also read a butterfly fact book today, and enjoyed dancing in the garden and watching our monkey bars being repaired!

Today we waved goodbye to the last butterflies! We watched as they flew high up into the trees! 🦋
We made our own butterfly pictures by dripping the paint and folding it over - we talked about butterflies being symmetrical.
We also had yummy butterfly biscuits with our lunch; Educatering Solutions how did you know our butterflies would be ready to release today?! It’s also national biscuit day today!
There was also a massive lorry towing a digger in the carpark today!
