The book has lots of positional language. We then practiced our understanding of positional language by playing a game where we had to go on, under, inside, and through on the balance beam!

Today we have been role playing making bread with playdough. We enjoyed adding icing sugar ‘flour’ and kneading the dough.

We talked about the bread we made last week, and how we had eaten it at home. Some people had it on its own, some had it with soup, or toasted or made into a sandwich!

At bike club today we cycled all the way to the ducks and back! 🦆Our skills are really developing, and lots of passersby...

Today Lewis the Road Ranger came to talk to us about Road Safety!

Lewis’ little friend Troy told us that one day he was running near the road, and he tripped and nearly fell in front of car. We talked about staying with a grown up whenever you are near the road, or in a car park.

We learnt that Red means Stop; it might be dangerous. Green means look, listen and go, but only if it is safe.

We also helped throw the invisible magic paint to decorate the Belisha beacon poster; but we threw it on the floor and at Lewis; this was very funny! 🤣

Today we continued making bread rolls, just like ‘The little red hen.’

We measured the ingredients, gave them a good mix, and kneaded the dough. We have taken the rolls home to eat!

We have been reading ‘The little red hen’ all week and have been joining in with the repeated words. We have teddies for all of the characters.
