The Willows -Toad Hall Day Nursery in Winnersh is a brand new purpose built nursery on Wharfedale Road in Winnersh Triangle, offering a wide range of care and education to the local businesses and surrounding community. Located in a purpose built building, the large rooms allow children space to expand their imagination, whilst outside there is a large playground with soft surfacing and grass area with a smaller garden for the 0-2s to use. These areas are used to extend the learning from indoors to outdoors; it also offers the children the opportunity to eat outside weather permitting. Centrally located with easy access from the M4 Junction 10 close to Winnersh village with a ample car parking making it easier to drop off and collect your child from the nursery. Our opening hours are from 8.00am to 6.00pm closing only for public holidays and a week between Christmas and New Year. Why Choose The Willows Nursery?

Today, we made our very own Gruffalo Granny stew! The children had lots of fun choosing their own ingredients to add to the stew, we then spoke about what Gruffalo Granny might find tasty and we then popped that in to our stew, whilst giving our stew a mix we read through the story!🌲🪾🍄‍🟫

The children have really enjoyed reading The Gruffalo’s Child and have loved exploring the characters and their adventures.📖

🌿🌞 We love our nursery garden! 💚
Our youngest children love getting outdoors and exploring everything our garden has to offer!

From digging and discovering in the sandpit 🏖️ to climbing, playing on the stepping stones and enjoying the climbing frame, there are plenty of opportunities for little ones to explore, be active and have fun with their friends.

Outdoor play is a fantastic way for children to develop their gross motor skills, coordination, balance and confidence while enjoying fresh air.

Jen has been coming in early to make sure all her
paperwork is ready before her day starts and comes in
before her shift to build new resources. She is part of
the plan to get little explorers up and running in
September and is sharing ideas and planning for the
session. She is a positive role model offering to do over
time if needed to support the team. She has also made
positive changes to the toddler room.

We had a fantastic staff night out, starting with an exciting game of Laser Quest before heading over for a few rounds of bowling. It was a great opportunity to step away from work, have some fun, and spend quality time together as a team. There was plenty of friendly competition, lots of laughter, and some memorable moments throughout the evening. It was a brilliant way to relax, strengthen team relationships, and enjoy some well-deserved time together outside of work

Well done George for getting activity of the week last week!

The children in Owls worked together to make cloud dough. They explored its soft, crumbly texture and developed their sensory and creative skills. One child used the cloud dough to create a cave, which inspired the children to begin acting out We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. They used their imagination and worked together to recreate parts of the story, demonstrating creativity, communication and collaborative play.

The children in Little Toads enjoyed a fantastic beach clean-up messy play activity. They worked together to explore the different types of rubbish that can be found on our beaches, carefully collecting and removing the litter from the sand🗑🏖️

The children in Owls enjoyed a hands-on recycling sorting activity. They worked together to sort them into paper, plastic and general waste. The children talked about why it is important to put rubbish into the correct bin and how recycling everyday materials can help reduce waste and protect our planet🥤
