Bohunt Wokingham Sixth

🎉 A major milestone for Bohunt School Wokingham as building work at Bohunt Wokingham Sixth reaches its topping out stage! 🏗️

Staff, students, Bohunt Education Trust , contractors Francis Construction, and Cllr Prue Bray marked the moment as the exterior walls and roof near completion, a huge step forward since ground was broken last summer.

Over the coming months, teams will install internal walls, doors, flooring and key services, before completing external works and final systems. With the project on track to finish this summer, students are already seeing exciting progress on-site each day.

Opening this September, BW6 will provide 300 new post-16 places, expanding opportunities for young people locally and creating an inspiring space where our first cohort can thrive, aim high and shape their futures close to home. ✨

This week we had our Sixth Form Futures Week and students had the opportunity to have taster lessons in A level subjects in their normal lessons, but also in our new A level subjects we will be offering. These included Politics, Law, Criminology, Classics, Film Studies, Textiles, Environmental Science, Media Studies, Sociology and Core Maths. Thank you so much to the teachers for leading the sessions and showcasing these subjects🎬🌎

We can't believe it has been 1 month since we opened the doors to prospective Year 12 families for our BW6 Fest - our first ever open evening for the Sixth Form! It was a great evening to showcase the building and get to speak to our teachers about their subjects.
