Caversham Nursery School is an OUTSTANDING Early Years provider and is a warm, welcoming nursery.

Caversham Nursery School originally opened on the Gosbrook Road in 1946 but moved to become part of Caversham Children's Centre in April 2009. We are now federated with New Bridge Nursery School and Blagdon Nursery School creating the REYS Federation and have Joanne Budge as our Exective Head teacher.

Our blue tit family have returned to the bird box in our garden! The children have been up to watch the live stream on the TV; watching the birds fly back and forth to the box with food and have also been creating their own blue tit life cycle artwork ☺️

An update on our ducks, all the way from their home in Kent!

They no longer need heat and have grown their first set of adult feathers which means they can now live out in the field.
They have the same feeders and drinkers as when they were inside but the feeders have a large black 'Top Hat" on them so the food doesn't get ruined by the rain.
They eat a surprisingly large amount of grass and enjoy sitting in the sunshine together.

We have received an update on our ducklings, now that they have returned to the farm and settled in with their friends!

They are now all together in our purpose built brooding sheds with a large heat plate to keep them warm and cosy. They have special drinkers and a large feeder, so they have constant access to everything they need. They spend most of the day zooming around in the large space of the brooding shed and enjoying the warmth of the sunshine.

They will stay in here for a few more weeks and when they are large enough we will let them out into the grass paddocks where they can enjoy the lovely environment.
