Caversham Nursery School

Our Executive Head Joanne Budge will be leaving us at the end of term. She joined us in 2020 creating REYS Federation of Caversham, Newbridge and Blagdon Nursery Schools, bringing together three maintained nursery schools and a daycare. Jo's passion for early years has shown through and through, ensuring every decision made puts the childen first.
Jo will be missed by many, we wish her well in continuing her journey with the Thames Valley Stronger Practice Hub.

The HAF SEND Club is a play-based holiday programme for children aged 5–12 years (KS1–KS2). Based at the Ranger Station in Prospect Park, the club provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children can relax, play, explore, learn new skills, and build positive relationships. Dingley's Promise are hosting another information session at their Reading centre on Monday 11th May. This is for any parents of children under 5; their child does not need a diagnosis. There are two sessions 9:30am or 1pm, so parents can choose which one works best for them, they don’t need to attend both.

An update on our ducks, all the way from their home in Kent!

They no longer need heat and have grown their first set of adult feathers which means they can now live out in the field.
They have the same feeders and drinkers as when they were inside but the feeders have a large black 'Top Hat" on them so the food doesn't get ruined by the rain.
They eat a surprisingly large amount of grass and enjoy sitting in the sunshine together.
