Meet our new friends at the Honey Bee Preschool!
Sam and Sid are our new friends, they go home with the children on Thursdays and have lots of fun adventures with them over the weekend. The children take lots of photos of what they did together and put it in the diary and share it with their friends at preschool.
This activity promotes children with their communication and language skills and helps them to talk more about home-life.

Being confident to give prompt and appropriate first aid following a medical emergency is an extremely important skill and particularly vital for anyone with responsibility for other people’s children.
We at the Honey Bee always make sure nearly all our staff are first aid trained. Here are some pictures of our recent 12 hour Paediatric First training. It was a very informative and practical course.

Community helpers week
Helpfulness is an important part of good social development, and there are many excellent ways for children to practice being helpful — from putting toys back on the shelf to picking up litter from the floor.
This week we introduced the children to different community helpers that help us in many different ways. They were police officers, firemen, doctors, lolly-pop ladies, bakers and gardeners. The bakers baked their own favourite community helper 😊

Our topic this week was 'My family' and last week they learnt about theirs bodies.
Thank you to our lovely mums who came in to talk about their families and sharing photos with the rest of the class. The children were really happy to see their mums come in.
For cooking they made marshmallow bodies and duck biscuits.

Welcome back to a brand new year Term!
A warm welcome to all our new children that have settled in fantastically.
We started off the term with the children setting in and getting used to their new friends and key persons.
This week the topic was "All about me" where the children brought in photos of their families and pictures of them when they were younger. They talked about their likes and dislikes and did lots of fun activities including making butter, collecting leaves and conkers and various other activities.
