National Driving Instructor Day is celebrated annually on March 16th to recognize the dedication of driving instructors in promoting road safety, training, and confidence in new drivers. Established in 2022, the date commemorates the first-ever driving test taken and passed in the UK on March 16, 1935.

Today is Driving Instructor Day 🚗
I want to celebrate all my brilliant instructor friends.
Honestly, some of the best people I know do this job. The patience you need, the responsibility, the encouragement you give learners every day… it’s huge. You’re helping people gain independence and shaping safer drivers at the same time.
I’ve met the most supportive, generous and funny instructors through this profession and many of them have become my best friends 🧡
We celebrate every pass, support each other on the tough days, share ideas and have a good laugh along the way.
I feel really lucky to be part of this community.
