The Pre-Prep Poetry Performance was such a triumph! Boys and girls from Nursery to Year 2 took to the stage, reciting a wonderful array of poems with great confidence, pride and joy.

With parents, staff and all the Pre-Prep children gathered in the McMullen Hall, the children performed to an audience of over 130 people. Whether the poems were about Snowballs and Turtles or works from Roald Dahl or Shakespeare, it was clear that our performers had put their heart and souls into learning their words. They should all feel very proud! 💫👏

During Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, the boys and girls explored the theme of ‘This is My Place’.

After a whole school community walk, they went back to their classes and talked about where they feel that they belong and why. Some classes drew pictures too… and whether it was being outdoors, at their granny’s house, in a tractor or ‘the whole of Elstree’ it was lovely to hear where the children felt happy.

Thank you to Mrs Attwood for masterminding a week of thoughtful activities to remind us about the importance of mental health🌟
