🌍🏆 We’re delighted to announce that MER has been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Merit! 🏆🌍
This fantastic achievement recognises the commitment of our students and staff to making a positive impact on the environment. A special thank you goes to Miss Haveron, whose passion and hard work drove this success, supported every step of the way by Mrs Gale.
But we're not stopping here! Our Eco Team already has an exciting programme of projects planned for the year ahead, including:
🌱 Revitalising our school eco garden with herbs, an insect hotel and a reading space
♻️ Promoting recycling across the school
🎨 Creating inspiring upcycled art projects
🌍 Launching our Cut Your Carbon campaign
🌿 Visiting the University of Reading Learning Garden
🌎 Celebrating Earth Day with the whole school community
We are incredibly proud of everyone involved and look forward to continuing our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.

Week 4 and even more reasons to celebrate! ☕✨

Today, our Students of the Week enjoyed a well-deserved hot chocolate with the Deputy Head, recognising their outstanding effort, kindness and positive contributions to school life.

It was fantastic to hear about the many ways these students have impressed their teachers, from demonstrating resilience in lessons to supporting their peers and embracing our school values every day.

Congratulations to all of this week's winners. We are incredibly proud of you and can't wait to see what you achieve next! 🌟

Week 3 and even more to celebrate! ☕🎉

Our Students of the Week joined Mrs Gibbs for a well-deserved hot chocolate celebration this week, recognising the fantastic effort, attitude and achievements they have shown across the school.

It has certainly been a busy week, with our Open Evening welcoming so many prospective students and families through our doors. A huge thank you to all of the students who gave up their time to support the event and showcase our school so brilliantly. We hope you enjoyed it as much as our visitors did!

As we reach the end of another successful week, it was lovely to take a moment to celebrate our Students of the Week and all they have achieved. We head into the weekend feeling proud of our students and ready for a well-earned rest before another exciting week ahead.
