Fun Friday: ‘We can’t all look good at the same time! It’s either me, the kids or the house!’
Even when you break this down into its component parts, I’m still not sure ‘looking good’ is that easy to achieve! 😂😂
Who’s with me? 🤔🤔
On a more serious note, I’m always happy to be of service if you’re in need of some encouragement and advice!
I’m Lyn and for 20+ years I’ve been supporting parents to be the best versions of themselves that they can be, especially those who are managing and dealing with the challenges that arise when raising a child with ADHD, Autism and other additional needs.
My approach is based an Observe, Do, Review framework because it’s an effective system for learning and implementation which doesn’t require too much effort from you to get the results you want and deserve.
I also want you to know that you don’t have to go it alone because we’re in this together and help is at hand!
How does that sound?
What’s it going to be for you?

‘If you could live off one food, what would it be?’
When it comes to food, I don’t know about you, I love having options… although come to think of it, I think that was the name of a hot chocolate drink too!😂😂😂
When it comes to parenting, it should be the same!
No parent wants to be issued with ultimatums or be stuck with a one-size-fits-all approach, do they?
However, it’s not always easy to determine what is sound advice for your family and circumstances, is it?
That’s why I offer parents the opportunity to have a no-obligation chat with me!
At the very least my aim is for you to leave the conversation with a couple of useful ideas that you can implement straight away!
For the record, those who know me will tell you that I’m all about ideas that result in win-win outcomes for all parties as well as strengthen those all important parent-child relationships!
I’m also known for an Observe, Do, Review approach because it’s an effective method for learning and implementation that doesn’t require too much effort from you to get the results you want and deserve!
Make use of this opportunity to get a fresh perspective and a package of support that will enable you to hit the ground running!
You’ve nothing to lose and everything to gain!
So, DM me and we can discuss any thoughts, queries or concerns you may have just now!
It’s up to you…
Remember that you don’t have to go it alone because we’re in this together and help is at hand!❤️

Pearls of Wisdom Wednesday: ‘You can be a good person and still say no, set boundaries, turn down an invite, distance yourself from toxic people, not help those who won’t help themselves, prioritise your self-care!’
What an impressive set of mind and body safety rules this is for us, parents, to ensure we avoid burnout!
When you’re a parent, it can be hard to think about your own needs but it’s important to remember that ‘you can’t pour from an empty cup!’
Believe me, I know what I’m talking about having had 4 children, one of whom had a formal diagnosis of ADHD as a child!
Does this resonate with you?
Need some ideas regarding how to find time for you whilst adding some useful strategies to your parenting toolbox?
Let me help you with that!
I’m Lyn, a parenting coach with 20+ years of experience and expertise, notably in the fields of ADHD and autism, so I’ve plenty of practical tips up my sleeve!
I’m also known for an Observe, Do, Review approach because it’s an effective system for learning that doesn’t require too much effort from you to get the results you want and deserve!
Know that you don’t have to go it alone because we’re in this together !
Why not get in touch so that we can do this one step at a time to get things sorted!

‘I do my best every day, and accept that my best may vary!’
What a powerful and valuable affirmation this is with which you can get your day off to a positive start!
Whether you’re a adult or a child, I would say both are pretty good at berating and putting themselves down!
As parents we can often forget that what we model to ourselves, yet alone to and for our children, can have a far reaching effect on how we witness and experience different challenges in life!
Know what I mean?
At times we’re bound to get it wrong, not be as consistent as we’d hoped to be or simply just want to hide away from the world!
But that doesn’t make the other occasions where we got it right, held our nerve or radiated brilliance any less meaningful or important!
Even super heroes need to take it easy and be gentle on themselves from time to time, so why should it be any different for us?
It stands to reason that even parents need to stop, think and reset at times!
If you’ve realised you’re feeling a bit fragile, in need of some moral support and/or would like some additional strategies to add to your parenting toolkit so that you can hit the ground running, let me be of service!
I’m Lyn and I support parents to be the best versions of themselves that they can be, especially those who are managing and dealing with the challenges that arise when raising a child with ADHD, Autism and other additional needs.

Self-care Sunday: There are plenty of ways to be kind to yourself:
— Stop trying to be perfect
— Kindfully talk to myself
— Eat mindfully
— Respect my needs (sleep, rest)
— Admire myself in the mirror
— Reconnect with hobbies that make me happy
Some brilliant suggestions here - which one resonates with you?
As parents, we often think we’re too busy to do anything other than what’s on our ‘to-do’ list, don’t we?
If that’s you, try and slip one of these 5 suggested beauties into your thoughts today at the very least because, over time, thoughts can turn into actions and habits!
Personally I love the thought of using Sunday to connect or indeed reconnect with hobbies, people and places!
Even when you reach out for support, it’s also about connecting with another human and this can often restore our faith in ourselves and our abilities!

Shout-out Saturday: So, that just about wraps up another week during which I’ve repotted all my herb and veggie seedlings.
It was satisfying to do this work, knowing my efforts should pay off as time goes on!
Hopefully the same can be said for your parenting endeavours!
Take a moment to reflect on the week that was and give a shout out where credit is due, however big or small!
Why not start by giving yourself a ‘shout out’ for coping with any difficult and challenging circumstances? 🙌 🙌 🙌
Make use of this opportunity, too, to share any ‘Sparkly Moments’ by placing them on record so that they don’t go unnoticed! 🌟🌟🌟

Not only that, but the strategies I can suggest to you are practical and easy to implement so that you can hit the ground running!

‘What’s the biggest reward when it comes to parenting a child?’
All too often, we, parents, moan quite a bit about the problems (perceived or real) that we experience with our children, so today I wanted to focus on the positives...
Having had 4 children myself, one of whom had a formal diagnosis of ADHD as a child, I can certainly tell you we had our fair share of ups and downs.
Even though there were times I wish things could have gone smoother, I still wouldn’t actually change things because you have to experience the lows to truly appreciate and celebrate the highs that happen along the way, too!
If you’re going through a tough phase right now, you may want to know that I’m always happy to be of service, especially if you’re in need of some encouragement and advice!
I’m Lyn and I support I parents, particularly those whose children have a formal diagnosis of ADHD and/or Autism, to achieve win-win outcomes that build stronger, more purposeful parent-child relationships!
With more than 20+ years of experience in the field I’m confident I can help you to explore some fresh ideas and implement them to get the results you want and deserve!
Act today and get in touch for a free, no obligation chat, to find out more!

Pearls of Wisdom Wednesday: ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!’
The same can be said to be true when it comes to parenting your child.
There are many techniques and strategies that people will suggest but it’s important to remember that you know your child best!
However, it’s still worth bearing in mind that whatever is working right now probably won’t remain your most effective option as your child gets older and so it’s also a good to start thinking about a plan B if you haven’t done so already!
Certainly, having had 4 children myself, one of whom had a formal diagnosis of ADHD as a child, I can totally relate to this!
I have been championing the interests of families and individuals for 20+ years, particularly those with ADHD and Autism!
I’m known for an Observe, Do, Review approach because it’s an effective system for learning.
I am confident my ideas will definitely shorten the road to any goals you have planned whilst helping you to get more out of today!
So, act now...
DM or message via Messenger if you have any parenting questions and/or queries you’d prefer to discuss privately.
It’s never too early to start drawing up your Plan B!
You don’t have to go it alone because we’re in this together!

‘Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow!’
This is particularly helpful advice for parents but is especially relevant and worth bearing in mind if you’re a parent of a child whose presenting needs end up challenging you to the hilt on a daily basis!
I’m pretty sure that many of these parents will wake up today and kinda sigh about the fact they will have to face everything again with little sign of any respite!
If that’s you, stop right there!
Although that kind of thinking is totally understandable, it can still prevent you from embracing all that’s possible and wonderful about today!
Instead, make a conscious decision to notice anything that acts as a small ray of hope and see what kind of difference it makes, however small or fleeting, and see if this encourages you to go from there!
If you’re a parent and finding life a bit of a struggle, let me be of service to you!
I have been championing the interests of families and individuals for 20+ years, particularly those with ADHD and Autism, so I’m ready for anything!
I’m also known for an Observe, Do, Review approach because it’s an effective system for learning which doesn’t require much effort to implement, yet yields positive and effective results!
Parents who have already used my coaching services for parents will confirm all of the above and more based on the practical support that they have received from me.
So, act now...
1. DM or message via Messenger for any questions you may have.
2. Check out my page on FB or Instagram (RedKite Coaching Solutions) to see the posts which are of interest and pertinent.
