Across the nursery the children had a wonderful time celebrating World Day for Cultural Diversity ๐ŸŒโœจ

The children explored different cultures through music, food, stories, crafts, dancing and sensory activities while learning about kindness, inclusion and respecting others.

Throughout the day, the children enjoyed exploring musical instruments, creating flags and artwork inspired by different countries, taking part in Eid-themed activities and learning about traditions and celebrations from around the world. Some children proudly shared artwork from home.

It was beautiful celebration of diversity, kindness and inclusion within our nursery family โค๏ธ๐ŸŒŽ

๐Ÿ A Buzzing Visit at Forest School! ๐Ÿฏ๐ŸŒฟ

We had the loveliest surprise in our Badgers pre-school room during Forest School we welcomed Tony from the Bee Association in Reading! The children were absolutely captivated as Tony showed us how bees build their hives and work together as a super-busy team to make honey.

Out in the fresh air, we explored the wonderful world of bees, spoke about why theyโ€™re so important for our flowers and plants, and even got to try a little taste of honey ๐Ÿฏ โ€” lots of happy โ€œyum!โ€ faces all round.

To finish, the children got hands-on and made their very own beeswax candles to bring home โ€” what a gorgeous little keepsake (and they were very proud of their work!). A big day of learning, exploring, and having fun in nature ๐Ÿโœจ

A huge thank you to Tony for a fantastic visit โ€” you really made our Forest School session bee-rilliant!

Happy St Georgeโ€™s Day!

The children have had such a lovely day celebrating across the nursery. Our babies got creative with some beautiful England handprints, The Hedgehogs group explored a wonderful mini world kingdom, using their imaginations to bring it to life. The Squirrels enjoyed making their very own England flags. Our Badgers were very busy creating their own shields and even went on a dragon hunt in the garden!

We ended our week with a trip to The Boltons where the children joined in singing the national anthem with residents there.

We had the most exciting morning in our Pre-school class (Badgers) with a visit from the dentist! We were so fortunate to have a lovely visit from Olive tree dental. They showed the Badgers how to brush their teeth correctly, helped us think about taking care of our teeth and played a super fun game encouraging us to consider food choices in terms of our teeth and overall health. The Badgers had so much fun in their learning and we extended this with activities in the afternoon including brushing teeth sets with shaving foam!
