⚽ Premier League Inspires Careers at SCL Stadium ⚽

After weeks of preparation, exploring strengths and skills, CV writing and interview preparation, students from The Wren School attended the Premier League Inspires Careers Event at SCL Stadium where they took part in mock interviews with Microsoft professionals.

Alongside the interviews, Microsoft delivered an exciting team challenge where students had to project manage a £100,000 football club budget — selecting players and managers while presenting their team, justifying their choices and keeping within budget.

Students also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of SCL Stadium and had the chance to see the exciting pitch refurbishment taking place.

Students initially described feeling nervous and anxious ahead of the experience, but left feeling empowered and proud after receiving supportive feedback and stepping outside of their comfort zones.

A huge thank you to Microsoft for their ongoing support and to Rhian Burrell at Aspire for delivering preparation sessions and reflection workshops to help students make the most of this valuable experience.
