Today our team came together for a Macmillan Coffee Morning, with plenty of cake, coffee and good company, all while raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. 💚☕️🍰

A big thank you to everyone who baked, donated and joined us. It was lovely to see so many people getting involved and supporting such an important cause.

This week we’re looking for a Deputy Manager to join our residential care team.

Working closely with the Registered Manager, the Deputy Manager plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the home. This includes leading staff on shift, supporting and supervising the team, safeguarding the wellbeing of children and young people, and helping to create a stable, caring and structured environment where they can thrive.

It’s a great opportunity for someone with experience in children’s residential care who is ready to step into a leadership role and continue developing their career.

On Saturday 10 October, Team Amegreen will be taking on a 2km or 5km challenge in Hyde Park to raise funds for the incredible work GOSH does for children and families.

Yesterday, members of the Amegreen team attended the CHA South East & London Regional Meeting, alongside other providers and professionals working in residential childcare.

The day included updates on current sector issues and a really thought-provoking session from Rebekah Pierre on the language we use when talking about children and young people, and the importance of making sure their voices are heard.

It was a great chance to learn, connect with others in the sector and be part of some important conversations around children’s care. 🙌🏻

📢 Job of the Week 📢

This week we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Equine Care Worker to join the team at Stable Futures- Amegreen on a part time, 12 month fixed term contract.

This is much more than a traditional yard-based role. Alongside caring for and exercising our horses and ponies, you’ll support therapeutic horsemanship and equine-based learning sessions that help children and young people build confidence, communication, emotional regulation and trust.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for equine welfare who is a confident and capable rider and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

Three years, a new role and an exciting award nomination. There’s plenty to celebrate for Martha! 🎉💙

Martha has stepped into her new role as Animal Care Manager, celebrated 3 years with Stable Futures, and has also been entered into the RDA Coaching Awards in recognition of the work she does with our young people and learners throughout the year.

We’re incredibly proud of everything she brings to Stable Futures and so pleased to see her hard work recognised in this way. The winners will be announced in November, so fingers crossed!🤞🏻
