Are you from an ethnic minority and have participated in a UK cancer clinical trial?

Please email [email protected] if you would like further information and to take part. Reimbursement will be provided for taking part in this study.

Studies suggest individuals from ethnic minorities are under-represented in cancer clinical trials. The UK government defines an ethnic minority as an individual who is not classed as white and British.

Researchers at the University of Reading are looking to understand the experience of individuals from ethnic minorities who have participated in a cancer clinical trial. Participants will be required to complete an online questionnaire and take part in an online interview (approximately 1 hour total).

Participation criteria:
- Participated in a UK cancer clinical trial
- 18 years of age or older and from an ethnic minority
- Speaks English
- UK Resident

Welcome is just over a week away - and we're continuing our series on what you should know before you join us.

Today's topic is especially important, so please take a minute to read this post.

COVID-19 vaccinations πŸ‘‡

We strongly encourage everyone in our University community, students and colleagues, to get both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as you can. This is in line with advice from the NHS and WHO.

If you're able, we'd advise that you get at least one dose of vaccine before Welcome. We will be offering first or second doses of the Pfizer vaccine on campus on selected days in September and October.

All students, including international students, can access both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine free of charge through the NHS. There are several local vaccination sites close to campus.
